"Daddy! Make me breakfast!" Lance demands, stomping his way into the lunch room. I'm just gonna call it the dining room now. He grabs the hem of Shiro's shirt and stands on our leader's foot. "Daddy!"
Shiro looks over at Keith, who has Coran hanging from the back of his mullet. The two look at me cradling crying Pidge in my arms. "Can I have a little help, guys?" Shiro asks, lifting Lance up in his spare arm. Allura waves her little hand around Shiro's face, attempting to grab his white floof.
"Can't." Keith shakes his head softly, trying to keep Coran from falling. "I'm trying to keep Coran from falling off my back and Hunk from breaking everything in the kitchen. Hey, get back here young man!" The red paladin runs after Baby Hunk who's running into the kitchen.
I shrug, cooing at Baby Pidge. "No way. Lance is your responsibility now. That child's the devil in human form. Plus, you said you wanted to babysit Allura and Lance  I'm already babysitting this little angel." I tap Baby Pidge's nose which causes her to squeal. "Maybe Pidge is part demon. With a squeal like that, when she's back to normal she could kill twenty of me."
"Mommy, Daddy won't feed me!" Lance shouts, stomping down on Shiro's foot.
"That's it, Lance." Shiro growls, picking the little paladin up again. "You're grounded."
Lance glares at the man and slaps his cheek. "You're mean, Daddy! I like Mommy better!" The Latino child points over at me. "She doesn't ground me!"
"Lancelot McClain, you're officially grounded now." I glare at technically toddler. I mean, come on, that child is two in human years. "You do not speak to anyone like that; including us."
"I'm sorry, Daddy. Sorry, Mommy." Lance pouts, looking down and trying to make me feel guilty.
"Not going to happen, kiddo." Shiro shakes his head. "You're still grounded. Come on, you and Princess Allura can play in your room. Let's go." Shiro places Lance on the ground as they walk out. I smile down at Baby Pidge and she squeaks softy.
"Momma." She squeaks again, saying her first word for the last two quintants. Geez, I actually miss all her science and smart talk.
"I'm not your Momma, Pidge, but I'll protect you no matter what." I lift the human child up to the shoulder, as she begins to fall asleep. I walk down the hallways to help her sleep. As if this is unusual; most nights when Pidge can't sleep, she comes to my room and we go for a walk around the castle so she can let everything out. She really trusts me with everything. "Rockabye paladin on my shoulder. When our space blows, the Lion will roar. If the leg breaks, then Voltron will fall. But Shiro will catch us, Lions and all."
Pidge mumbles under her breath as she falls asleep. I run her back as I sit down in my chair at the Bridge. I feel a warm hand on my  free shoulder, and Shiro's voice says, "that was beautiful."
"Thanks, Shiro-"
He laughs, as he crouches down next to me, seating Allura in his lap. "You know, you can just call me Takashi, right?"
"Then, thanks, Takashi." I smile down at him, as I cradle Pidge back to my arms. Shiro lifts his hand up and softly runs the Green Paladin's tiny foot. "She's a wonderful baby, just wish that she'd turn back though."
"Me too. And for all of them to turn back. I don't know how I can stand Little Lance. I prefer teenage Lance over Toddler Lance any quintant." Shiro chuckles, using the Altean word Coran taught us once.
"Also the fact Allura and Coran are the only ones who know how to steer this ship?" Keith's voice asks, as the door opens. "And don't be so close in front of the children." Keith absentmindedly waves at us.
We turn and glare at the younger paladin. "The others may be kids," Shiro starts, "but we're still older."
"And that technically makes you two my Mom and Dad as much as it does to Lance and everyone else." The younger paladin points at the two of us.
I groan, leaning back in my chair. "Would you not? It's bad enough Little Lance is calling us Mommy and Daddy, but not you too."
"When did you start writing?" Shiro asks, interfering with the mini stare off between Keith and I. I tilt my head to ask what he means. "Writing songs. I've read a couple of them - Lance showed me."
Of course. Blame the now-toddler.
"I've been writing songs since I was about... fifteen in human years. Around 8 to 9 years ago." I shrug, playing with Baby Pidge's tiny hand.
Shiro rest his hand on my knee. "They're great. Trust me." His dark eyes smile up at mine, then I stand up and walk to the door.
"Want me to sing some?" Keith, Shiro and Allura nod, then I lead them down to my room. I open the door and sit down at my desk after softly laying the baby on my bed. Finding Faster Car in my Saved Recordings, I click on the recording.

"Momma, that was amazing!" Allura squeals, as I finish and she runs at me with open arms from behind Shiro. "You could be a performer."
I lift the young princess up onto my lap and give her a tight hug. I look up at Shiro, then Keith. "The others in bed?"
"Yep, all in my room." Keith nods, as Shiro takes Little Allura from me.
"Can Momma tell us a bedtime story, Daddy and Big Brother?!" The Altean princess asks, hugging Shiro. I'm kinda jealous; I mean, I want a hug too. A girl can be never too old for a hug.
Shiro looks down at the princess with a smile. "Sure, she may even sing to you." He passed Little Allura to Keith, who puts her on the ground and walks her out of the room.
I grab Shiro's wrist as he goes to leave, "hey, you'd make a great Space Dad...Takashi."
