Third Person POV
Everyone had taken time to grieve, but 5 years had passed.
Almost everyone moved on with their lives, everyone was happy.
Joo-won was 5, and today was his first day of school. Sure he was upset about his mom 'going away for a while', but he had almost completely forgotten all about it in the excitement of starting school.
Mark, on the other hand, had a productive day at work today and couldn't wait to ask Joo-won how school was at the end of the day.
Well.... maybe it could have waited a little longer...
Joo-won ran to Mark's car as soon as he spotted it, which was difficult due to the tears flooding his eyes and cheeks.
Mark immediately lifted Joo-won into his arms and closed the car door. He cradled Joo-won and asked him what was wrong. Joo-won explained how he was being bullied at school because he had no mom, taking breaths at inappropriate times during the sentence because he doesn't know how to speak properly yet.
When he finished telling him, Mark immediately saddened and his eyes filled with tears too, before he quickly blinked them away. The younger boy sniffled and snuggles himself in his father's chest, hiding his face.
Joo won curled up into his father's chest
"Papa?" he sniffled twice. "Where's mommy?"
