sorry for not updating!! I meant to do a Christmas special but my family was driving all the way from Ohio to Minnesota for a wedding that was yesterday. We're driving back today so I have a super long time to write.

This isn't gonna have a Christmas special, but enjoy anyway!

Johnny's POV

I woke up slowly, and it was surprisingly dark. I was about to sit up and stretch, when I realized it was the middle of the night.

And someone's arms were wrapped around me.

It took a second, but it all came flooding back. Me and Pony hanging out, stargazin', and now sharing a bed.

Man, do I wish I could just grow a pair and tell him already. I'll make it special, though. I need to wait for the right time.

Soon, I told myself. I don't want him to worry about it any longer. But I don't wanna ruin what we already have..

I shrugged to myself, as if to clear the burden, and snuggled into Pony's warm embrace.

I woke up again much later, it must've been much later because it was way brighter. I kept my eyes shut, though. I heard some rustling of the covers and assumed Pony was awake. I felt him remove his arms from around me and sit up.

It was quiet for a few moments. I let my own eyes flutter open and I sat up as well, yawning.

Pony looked over at me, and smiled slightly. "Morning, Johnnycake."

"G'morning, Pone," I replied, grinning. I started to stretch, but then pulled my arm back down under the blanket. Better get my jacket on before I go stretching..

Later..

Ponyboy and I were off, walking to school like we always did. Before we left, we had chocolate cake like usual, and said bye to everybody.

I had on my jeans jacket again, and Pony was wearing his purple jacket.

"And that's how I met Cherry." Pony stated, finishing the story he was telling me.

I couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealously towards that Soc he calls Cherry.

I nodded slowly, staying silent. "You think she's your soulmate?" I asked, slowly and quietly.

"Naw," he replied, letting me relax a little, "her soulmate is that one asshole Soc, Bob Sheldon."

I scrunched up my nose when I heard Bob's name, causing both me and Pony to laugh. My cheeks flushed and warmed up, but the rest of me got the chills. Bob and his group were the ones that beat me real bad last time..

We stepped into the school together, like usual.

"How did your track meet go on Saturday, by the way?" I asked, as we pulled some books from our lockers. We were lucky enough to have lockers next to each other, 'cause our last names were so similar. (Could be more similar if you get what I'm sayin' ;)))))

"We won! First place," Pony said, beaming. I couldn't help myself, I smiled right as he did. He had such an adorable smile.

"I knew you would." I said, shutting my locker and starting to walk down the hall.

"Hey, you should come to our next race, Johnny!"

"I wouldn't miss it for the world." I whispered.

At this exact moment, I knew what I was going to do.
