Chapter 40: Pap's problem with a big gamer Youtuber

This chapter is kind of like the video above except it's with gaming instead of Art. For some reason I thought it'd be good for a Chapter. And for the sake of Pap talking threw out this chapter there won't be these things "

Hey everyone Pap here and I'm going to do something different today on my channel. Which was a problem I had with a big gaming youtuber, for the sake of privacy with this Youtuber I'm going to give them a fake name and if you guys know who this is please don't harass them. So their name is going to pepe, because I love that meme.

With my interactions with pepe I'm going to be paraphrasing the whole time and I'm going to be true to memory as possible. I have a couple of things I wrote down for my script in this video next to me to help, anyway on with the story. The first time Pepe contacted me was probably when I uploaded my first gameplay video which was Minecraft where I was just playing around on a server with people. 

And he was claiming that it looked similar to one of his videos of Minecraft. At the time it didn't quite looked like I was taking an idea but now it kind of does *he chuckles a bit* and he asked me in the email if we could collab sometime since we were both into Minecraft at that time not putting a date just flat out saying we should collab.

I thought it was more of a friendly email he sent instead of defensive after that he follows me on twitter and I follow him on twitter so our conversations were now DMs on twitter. After that I didn't hear from him for awhile until I get a DM on twitter from pepe asking if I would like to come to a gaming stream he was doing, but I could not attend it so I let him know about it. I then ask him if we were still going to collab with each other that we've been talking about it for awhile and wondering when we could do it.

 But he said that he wasn't doing collabs at the time because he had a bad experience with collabing and that was done with the collab talk, we both went on with our lives. A little bit down the road I get another DM from him about my pokemon theme team I did saying 'You know that has a lot of similarities with that and Pimpnite's videos.' Now I do watch Pimpnite but I did not copy his videos I just got inspired by him to make just one video of it. I then tell him how I was inspired by him and not copying he says okay. After that I continue uploading some more gaming videos like husband and wife videos where I play with babe of different games or doing some shiny pokemon hunting.

He contacts me again and Pepe seemed kind of annoyed saying that I ripped off his aesthetic of gaming on his YouTube channel because in a video I was hunting a shiny Virizion for babe, and he accused me of stealing it because he uploaded it that he got one a DAY before I got the one I captured. Keep in mind though I didn't follow him on YouTube only on twitter as a follow back to be friendly because I don't follow someone on YouTube unless I really love the content that they make. I swear to god every pokemon shiny hunter has got probably the same freaking shiny pokemon close to the same time as another shiny hunter!

At this point I was irritated so I 'came for him' a little bit saying I think this whole friendship is based on that you think I'm not worthy of being in the gaming community I feel like you're always accusing me of something and looking for me to make a mistake. I wish you the best of luck. After I told him to suck a butt! He backed off a little bit saying sorry that he was acting like such a bastard I'm just real protective of my work.

I just want to add something in here, I've had a lot of people copied- my schedule of uploading gaming videos has been copied by smaller gaming Youtubers and I guess some of my loyal fans have noticed and message me saying 'hey this person exists and it's basically you're content' and I'm not a total weirdo about it! If that's how those people are it's fine I don't care and I don't have time with every little thing someone does. But Pepe does it seems like Pepe has the time to do this with me and whoever else.

The only thing I can do is improve my content. I'm going to take my time with my videos, edit out unwanted things and not ramble into my mic. And if it means it'll take a bit more time with videos then it's going to take a bit more time, oh well there's two kinds of youtubers ones that want to pump out the content who see that as successful and others who take time, God dammit Pap get off this tangent, back to the story. 

That was the end of the friendliness I unfollowed him on twitter he unfollows me on twitter blah blah blah stupid petty shit. Recently I've been sponsored by skill share on some of my pokemon shiny hunting videos I like it skill share seems to be the one who to help creative people out on Youtube. Like me a couple of my friends and other Youtubers I've seen. So not to long after my first or second skill share video I receive an email from Pepe it was a very long email so I'm going to bullet point somethings he said.

Number one my shiny Pokemon wonder trade video he was accusing me of copying a different Pokemon youtuber because this different pokemon youtube was giving away shiny pokemon that were the same as mine. Whoop pi doo! So does everyone well probably not everyone but other Pokémon youtubers do this to! Posting 'Hey doing a giveaway for insert special occasion thing here' Holy Shit! I don't think that's copying.

Number two my skill share series he said 'you have a small number of subscribers so it's unlikely that skill share approached you.' They did! They did! If I'm honest I did not approach skill share they approached me! For doing a first, second and now a third sponsorship and I guess he did a sponsorship video with them as well I couldn't find it.  That's what's crazy so he was insinuating that I was copying him and other big gamer youtubers who get sponsorships by skill share Okay. 

Thirdly he accused me of copying a gamer who posts on Instagram with his girlfriend or wife. Who I didn't even know about! Saying that I copied this guy's pictures with me and babe sending the pictures to me, which looked completely different! COMPLETELY DIFFERENT pictures! The only thing that looked the same was that me and this guy's girlfriend/wife were monsters so Zero crowns for comparison!

Finally the very last bit of the email kind of explained everything that in this situation I didn't do anything wrong or right I just existed I was a little bit of a target not a victim because nothing happened to me like there I existed! I created and that's not my opinion I asked other people on it to not just my fans, my family or friends at random who have no idea what's going on and I ask look does this look similar? Because I wanted to know that I wasn't in the wrong since there could be something that you don't see but other people do. 

Anyway the last bit of the email said 'I've always been suspicious of you since you started making videos I know other Youtubers who are on my side. They are also suspicious of you I don't think your content is genuine' I don't get that how can someone make ingenuine content? *he laughs* How does that work? then he says 'I'm just very protective of the community I've grown in and that I love' wha- PROTECTIVE OF WHAT! Though he wraps it up pretty nicely 'look you're going to do what you're going to do' alright 'But just know that one day it's all going to collapse in on you, I never met a community that takes kindly to thieves I wish you the best of luck and hope one day that you will start being original'

Okay Pepe thank you for the advice while I continue to do what I like to do with gaming while hopefully karma will get you back. Though I did check out his YouTube channel while I was about to get record this video and it seems he's in some illegal right now so guess karma did get him back.

So remember kids if someone messages you that you aren't being original don't freak out because you are whatever you do there will always be some part of you in what you do no matter what it is. And with that guys I'll see you in my next Pokémon stream.
