Seven

It was now the first day of training, and I just didn't want to get up at all. It was 9:00 in the morning but it felt earlier.I looked to my left to find Bella not there and the bathroom door closed. I was startled when I heard a knock on the front door.
"Who is it?" I asked
"Calum, open up"
Now I had to get out of my warm bed and answer the stupid door.
Just as I opened the door Calum gave me the biggest hug I could have ever asked for.
"Good morning."
"And a good morning to you to."
We made our way over to the beds and Calum sat on Bella's bed while I sat on my own, and we just exchanged a look.
"Do you still like Bella?" I asked Calum curiously.
Calum's face turned beat red and he shook his head. "No why would you think that?"
"Well first, your face is as red as a tomato. Second, it's kind of obvious with the way you look at her."
"Oh" was all Calum had said, and that's what his expression showed to. "You don't think she.. Um.. Knows? Do you?"
Well obviously she knows everyone who has ever been around him when she's around would know. But I couldn't tell him that. "No, at least I don't think so."
Calum'a face showed relief and his tension decreased, and just as I was about to say something about Bella, she walked in. Yet once again Calum tensed up and he started blushing like mad crazy.
"Well I'm gonna head to the mess hall. You coming?" I shook my head and so did Bella.
"No we will be there soon I have to talk to Skyler about something important." Bella replied.
I could tell Calum was nervous and he wanted to know what bells had to talk to me about so badly. But he complied and just left.
"What's up?" I asked as I got dressed.
"Well yesterday when you had gone off with luke, Ashton Mikey and Calum all started whispering and wouldn't tell me what about. I think they think that there's something going on between you and luke. Which I mean that's great but you know what kind of reputation he has here." Bells looked at me reassuringly.
Bells was right I did know what kind of reputation luke had, but he's so different than what everyone makes him out to be. I saw the way he was yesterday when we were by our selfs, when no one was around. Luke was sweet and nothing at all like he is around everyone else.
Typically, at the beginning of every summer camp luke tends to hit on one of the new older girls and some people say he has even slept with some of them, but those are just rumors. Not only is that, but luke is known to be.. Short tempered. Apparently, one time he had gotten so mad at someone he put them into a coma. But that was just rumor. I mean I don't doubt that he hasn't done any of that, but there was just something about him that just confused me. Here was this boy who I've known nearly all my life whose never talked to me and all of a sudden I'm his new best friend.
And that's when it came to me. Luke was just trying to get into my pants. He was a scum ball who never even wanted to be friends with me at all. That little nice boy act he put on was just to get closer to me. I knew it was to good to be true.
"Bella I have to go."
"Go? Yeah, I know we have to go to the mess hall for breakfast were going together, remember?"
I couldn't even handle it anymore I wanted to get down there as soon as possible, and hand luke his rear end.
Just as I entered the mess hall, ashton approached me.
"Hey skyle-" but I cut him off and ran to luke.
"Hey Skyl-" but I cut him off as well.
"Listen here you little jerk. I know exactly what your trying to do and it's not funny any more. So you ca-" but just as I was mid sentence a shriek came from the microphone silencing everyone in the large room. I turned away from luke and rolled my eyes and I knew everyone was watching, but I didn't care. I joined Mikey and Calum over in the corner.
"Goooooooood morning everyone!" Mr. Higgins began. "Today is our first day of camp training and I know that you are all ready for today's activities that you will learn to help your cabins kids." Mr. Higgins was way to peppy for my pissy mood this morning. "Now if you could come up to the front at some point before breakfast is over and check your list for what you will be trained in today that would be lovely." Mr Higgins got off the stage and made his way over to luke who handed him a note. Mr. Higgins stopped and read it and nodded at luke and then looked over in my direction and smiled. Creepy.
I hopped in line to get my food and made my way over to the table. I was starving but I was to angry to eat, so I just poked at my food.
"What's wrong Skyler? You haven't touched your food hardly is something wrong?" Calum asked. But Calum was typically oblivious to everything so I didn't get to upset when he asked but what really set me off is that as I looked up to acknowledge him I noticed a figure behind him. Luke.
I got up threw my tray of food away and stormed out of the mess hall. But of coarse I forgot to check where I was stationed so I had to make my way back.
Just as I walked in there was a circle of people standing around, chanting, "fight,fight,fight." I managed to push my way through the crowd of people and when I was able to finally get through I saw ashton tackled to the floor by luke.
"LUKE GET THE HELL OFF OF HIM! YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HIM." I managed to scream, but it was no use. And in a blur I had stepped in front of ashton taking a hit to the jaw. Mr. Higgins walked in and saw what was going on. He came up behind luke and grabbed him and Mikey grabbed ashton while I stood between the two of them.
"You three in my office NOW." Mr. Higgins spoke sternly.
