As I walk away from Isaac for the second time, I feel dejected. How dare he choose whether or not I want to risk this. That's for me to decide. I can't believe he won't try make this work because of his stupid gentlemanly side coming out claiming it's too dangerous for love.
Love is meant to be dangerous. It's meant to thrill you till you think you'll die, then make your heart beat faster, your palms sweat heavier. Everything is excelled, amplified and that's just what he gives me.
Yet it's only one sided.
As I walk into the dorm room I'm reminded that 7 have lost their lives just trying to survive the chosen life they were given, this only suffices to make me angrier. How could Isaac not want to live the fullest life possible if only for a short amount of time, at least that short life will be filled with an experience nobody can forget.
The day moves slowly and I sit with Kayla, Jake and Alex on our bunks. Me and Kayla on mine and Jake and Alex on Alex's to our left.
"What do you think they're gonna make us do for our final tests next month?" Jake asks.
"Probably something insanely dangerous that has the potential to kill us all" I say picking at the blanket.
"Yeah" they all murmur back and for a while we all sit solemnly on our beds staring at each other.
I break the silence with a thought that's been plaguing me for a while, "have any of you noticed there's never any kids?"
"What made you say that?" Kayla asks.
I shrug "nothing really, except it's true. There is never any kids or babies and relationships are forbidden so how are we made?" I ask.
They all stare at me and realisation sets in and all of them come to the same conclusion that something is going on.
"Yeah that is weird" Jake says.
"There's obviously a explanation somewhere" Alex defends.
