Liam's p.o.v.
You can do this You're okay I promise. It's going to be fine. You're almost there, just a few more blocks now.
"Okay here we are," I said quickly, not trusting my mouth to be open for very long.
"Okay thanks dad, I'll take my car to the shop tomorrow," Carter said, getting out of the car to go get ready for his football game.
I swung the car around to go find a parking space, which was fairly easy since the game didn't start for 45 minutes.
After I parked and turned the car off, I leaned my head on the steering wheel and took a deep breath. I knew I had to make it at least another hour.
Charlotte was babysitting at one of Aprils friends houses, babysitting, until 5:30, and then y/n was going to pick them up and bring them here, then I could go home.
I slowly got out of the car, careful to not upset my nauseous stomach any further. I really didn't want to throw up - crap.
I could feel it rising in my throat, and not slowly. Well fine. I bent over and prepared myself for the impact. In three, two, one, and wait for it.
Dry heave. Gag. Hurl. Splash. Accidentally open my eyes. Repeat process.
Keeping my eyes closed, I took a deep breath, then slowly straightened up into a standing position. I cracked my eyes open, careful not to look down at the puddle of sick in between my feet, then took a few hesitant steps backwards, until I hit the car.
I sagged against it, tired from the effort of heaving up my lunch. I hadn't been able to make myself eat more than a piece of toast at noon. I'd really felt pretty crappy all day to be honest, but it had gotten ten times worse while I was driving.
God, I can't sit through a football game like this. I'll end up having to leave, or worse, not leaving in time. I need to call y/n.
I pulled out my phone and pressed my speed dial, waiting as it rang once, twice, three times, then.
"Hello," she answered.
"Are you off work yet?" I asked hoarsely.
"Uh, yeah I got off a little early. Why is everything okay?" she asked, sounding worried.
"Um not exactly," I stammered, embarrassed.
"What happened? Did Carter get hurt? Is it the girls?" she panicked.
"No no, the kids are fine," I assured her. Smiling at the fact that she instantly worried so much about them.
"Oh then what's wrong?" she asked, sounding relieved.
"I uh threw up in the parking lot," I laughed awkwardly.
"Oh baby, have you been sick all day?" she asked kindly.
"Well I had a tummy ache but I didn't get sick until now. I just don't think I can make it through the game honey I'm sorry," I explained.
"Don't apologize it isn't your fault. I'll just come get you and bring you back home, then go get the girls and go up to the game," she said, always the problem solver.
"Okay thank you," I practically whispered.
"No problem, I'm on my way," she answered.
"Okay, goodbye," I finished.
"Bye love," she said before hanging up.
I slid down to sit on the gravel parking lot, leaving up against the car door, despite how uncomfortable it was.
And that is exactly where y/n found me when she arrived, roughly ten minutes later. After helping me into the car and driving back to our house, she dragged me inside and popped in a movie, knowing I would fall asleep.
"Feel better Li, I'll be home before you wake up," she whispered, kissing me on the forehead.
"I love you," I said sleepily, not even staying awake long enough to hear her reply.
