There's No Point Pretending (H.G. X Reader)

One Idea

This part is dedicated to @HermioneIsMyAlways who created this idea.

Basically, the story is only dialogue. You choose the characters involved, the setting, what they are wearing, everything. The only set thing is the dialogue. The characters could be two fictional characters, you and a fictional character, you and someone you know in real life, two people you ship, it doesn't matter. Everyone's story will be different.

In mine three people are involved, Character 1, 2, and 3. Character 2 and 3 end up together and character 1 is out of the story after the first section.

Ready?

Okay.

1: "Why do we fight like this?"

2: "I believe it is because we were simply, not meant to be."

1: "How can you say that?"

2: "I like to say what I believe, no matter how cruel it sounds. I like to be honest."

1: "Some things are better left unsaid."

2: "Would you rather me lie to you?"

1: "I would rather you be kinder, more considerate of my feelings."

2: "I'm sorry, it's just..."

1: "It's just what?"

2: "I don't know how to feel anymore. The spark is gone. I'm sorry if it sounds rude, I just don't know how else to say it."

1: "Are you breaking up with me?"

2: "I think I am."

1: "I can't believe you. You are the worst person I've ever met. I hope you die alone!"

<2 years later>

2: "I'm so sorry, I'll buy you a new one."

3: "Don't worry about the coffee, I didn't like it anyways."

2: "But what about your shirt?"

3: "I'm going home anyways. It'll wash right out."

2: "Let me help you."

3: "If you don't mind me asking, why do you drink so much?"

2: "It helps me forget."

3: "About what?"

2: "Everything."

3: "Who was it? Who broke you, and drove you to drink?"

2: "It doesn't matter. I'm going to die alone. I'm a terrible person, so nothing matters."

3: "You are not a terrible person."

2: "Then why am I alone?"

3: "Idiot, you're not alone, I'm here."

2: "Will you go out with me?"

3: "Of course I will!"

2: "How can you love me, I'm nothing but an alcoholic. I'm drunk all the time. I can't hold a job or make friends. You'd do so much better without me."

3: "Sober or drunk, it's always you. And I love you and your flaws."

2: "But how?"

3: "There doesn't need to be a how, only us."

2: "Would you make me the happiest person in the world, and marry me?"

3: "Yes."

~~~

2: "I don't say this nearly enough, thank you. Thank you for turning on the light when I couldn't see. Thank you for showing me a better way to live and breathe. Thank you for loving me. And I know I will never say this enough times for as long as I shall live, but I love you. I love you so, so much."

3: "I love you too."

Okay, so I know this isn't necessarily a Hermione one shot, so let me explain a little about why I did this.

I was writing A Villain, A Hero part 2 when I got a notification that an author that I loved and that had not posted in a while had posted. So naturally I went to read it.

Unfortunately it was not the author but her brother that was posting.

He informed everyone that his sister was gone. And I felt horrible.

I really liked this author. I couldn't reply to the book like some others had because I was simply to distressed. I couldn't respond then, and I know that the brother will probably never get on the account again, so I can't say anything to him.

This is my way of showing how much the author meant to me and I hope you will go check out her works if you haven't already.
