"Come on Hermione! Let's go!" I shouted behind me to the girl I was dragging by the hand.

"Slow down!" She laughed, amused by my antics.

I continued to pull her through the woods, at a slower pace so we wouldn't trip over the tree roots that littered the ground. I'd been walking these woods since I was young, so I knew exactly where everything was and where I was going. I was taking Hermione to my favorite spot, I'd found it a long time ago and it always calmed me to be there.

I found the creek and followed it down stream, Hermione admiring the small tadpoles as we went. Eventually, the ground opened up into the entrance of a cave, the creek continued into the dark depths and we stopped.

"Is this the place?" Hermione asked, trying to see into the void of the cave, a look of wonder on her face.

"Yep." I replied, retrieving my wand from where it was stuck in my shoe.

"Lumos." I mumbled, the tip of my wand illuminating.

I grabbed Hermione's hand again, intertwining our fingers and leading her into the cave. We walked for a few minutes in silence, stepping over rocks and following the stream deeper into the darkness. Soon, I saw the familiar lights coming from the back of the cave. When I first discovered this place, I had thought it was an exit, but I've yet to find one besides where we came from.

We continued towards the twinkling lights, the stream to our left, and the dim light from the entrance a mere pinprick at this point. The light from my wand wasn't bright, so as not to disturb any small frogs, mice, or other creatures that may not be used to bright light, but not so dim that we couldn't see.

The cave was narrowing significantly, almost to the point that we would have to walk in the water, but we didn't have to, I knew we wouldn't.

Finally, the cave opened up into a cavern. Hermione gasped as she took in the sight.

Crystals of every color covered the ceiling and walls, the floor even had large patches of them scattered around. Some were taller than we were and others were just small gems. Having already been there hundreds of times, I forwent taking in the cave for looking at Hermione's face as she gazed around at all the colors and crystals.

She looked at me, a huge grin on her face, "It's gorgeous." she laughed. As I put my wand away, I told her, "Just wait till you see this."

She watched in curiosity as I brought my hands up and loudly hit my hands together in a single clap. Hundreds of thousands of tiny, floating creatures arose from around the crystals. They were reminiscent of dandelion seeds but were all white with a blueish glow, able to move what would be the white part on a dandelion to float where they wanted to. Hermione once again looked around in wonder, slowly rising a hand to touch one, which made it glow even brighter as it floated away. She laughed as she noticed some of them landing on her. Raising her arms to get a closer look.

This moment was perfect. I wanted it to stay just like this. Just me and her, in this crystal cave with these floating creatures. The happiness and wonder forever etched on our faces.

But all good things come to an end.

And some relationships weren't meant to last.

*Pretends I didn't just disappear for several months*

Hey guys, I know it's been a while and this is kinda short but school has really been getting to me and I've had writers block for a while. I'll try to be around more often though once I get caught up in the class I'm behind in, which will hopefully be by next week.

Anyway I just wanted to thank you guys so much for 19k reads and 327 votes! I really do appreciate it.

See ya around
