"You haven't answered my question."

Paul smiles. "I know."

"Are you going to?"

"Nope." Paul smiles. "Can I ask?" He signals to his wrist.

Reyes moves his hand.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to ask about your date. It's rude."

"It's not. It's unusual." Reyes replies looking around them.

"How so?" Paul asks.

"It's..."

"Sorry, I shouldn't have asked. It's private. My mom did always say I ask too many questions."

"There is nothing wrong with asking questions."

"It is when they overstep a boundary. You don't have to answer."

Reyes smiles. His fingers encircle his wrist as he keeps it out of sight.
"I know what your name means because I speak the language. I'm an interpreter and translator."

"So you speak several languages?"

Paul nods.

"What are they?"

"Of course Spanish, Italian, and French. Also, Latin."

"The romance languages."

"Yes, I'm a romantic at heart." Paul replies his hand over his heart. "What do you do?"

"I'm in between jobs." I can't go back to my previous job.

"Okay."

"Do you want to come over for a movie?" Reyes asks. "Oh, but you must be tired. You don't have to."

Paul chuckles. "I'm actually not feeling tired. I think it's going to be one of those days where I won't feel tired until I lie down in bed."

Reyes smiles.

"So yes, I want to."

"Great."

"How long have you lived here?"

"Since I moved out of my parents house."

Paul nods. "It's my first time living alone."

"Are you excited?"

"Yes, but I also miss my best friend. Though, now she might be moving, so I don't know if she means here or somewhere else."

"So you're close with her."

"I've practically known her all my life. Do you have siblings?"

"Yes, a younger sister."

"She is like my sister. She is."

Reyes nods.

"So what are we watching?" Paul asks.

Paul smiles at seeing Reyes get more comfortable and pulling the comforter around him. He sits on the other end of the sofa while he himself took the other end of it. Reyes moves sideways and stretches out.

"You can use the blanket." Reyes tells him.

"You look comfy."

"I always end up wrapped in a blanket. My mom used to always say I needed it for comfort."

"That's sweet." Paul replies.

"I hope you're not terribly scared of horror movies."

"I don't like them. I always end up with nightmares."
