Kaoru just asked you on a date! Well, technically you asked him on a date. Wait, scratch that. You planted the idea of a date in his head and in response he asked you on a date. Yeah! That's the right explanation! Kaoru obviously didn't have any ideas what to do. He sticks out like a sore thumb when trying to figure out what the actual heck everything is around here. He obviously hasn't been to the market often. Hell, you could probably make a safe bet he hasn't been in town often either. Maybe just a slight familiarity with no real attention to detail. Looks like you got to step up if you want to do anything. You grab his wrist, not his hand because that's too romantic and you aren't sure if he'a good with dat, and smile warmly at him.

"I know a few places we can go. There's a lot of food trucks around so we can always grab some sushi on the go or some ice cream. The jewelry shop is down where your brother was heading, I know the people who run the best silver smithy around. It's a shame they aren't rich... beside the point there's also an arcade and a Casino Jr. Kind of place we can hit. Basically they allow anyone who is age sixteen or older to gamble at a smaller table with lower stakes. I'm not exactly sixteen but he knows me and my family so he lets me in with a bribe. I'm sure he can let us in too. You deserve a fun day."

You saw his eyes glint with something mirroring how his name brother would look woth the second you mentioned the words 'Arcade' and 'Casino'. You saw him get really excited like a small child on Christmas. He grabbed your arm like how an anime girl would and started begging to you on where to go first.

"Can we go to the Casino first? I always loved gambling! Hika and I play Poker back at the Mannor with the servants when we're bored and we both have a really good poker face! We also play the 'Which one is Hikaru?' Game with them and we make bets with eachother guessing if they would get it right or not! Oh, wait. Hika isn't coming... that's okay! I still want to go to the Casino!"

That's the most adorable thing ever! Not only does he call Hikaru 'Hika' but he also actually loves playing the 'Which one is Hikaru?' game and gambling. You never would have guessed. That was definitely sarcastic. Was that also sarcastic? That's up to you to determine, reader. You felt your heart do a twist. Wait a second, you just realized he was holding onto your arm and giving you a cheesy anime grin basically telling you to lead the way. You resisted the urge to do a classic anime headpat and gave him a  cliché anime hair ruffle instead. His smile was contagious and his words were sweeter than strawberry cake. That actually sounds really good right now... ignoring that it's time to respond to the precious, 'nicer' twin.

"If that's what you want I will bring you there."

And the two of you were off on your own adventure you both labeled as a date! The casino is probably the farthest of the four locations you name dropped in your earlier dialogue. Kaoru kept holding onto your arm as you both walked. You felt a bu ch of gazes on your back, but they weren't the same scornful gazes from school. No, the eyes on your back were filed with brighter, sweeter intentions. Instead of hateful and mocking eyes on your back you heard giggles and people around you whispering things like "aww, what a cute couple!" And "I wish I had someone to love me like those two love eachother." And it made you feel warm inside. You looked over at Kaoru to see how he was doing, he was still beaming a smile like there was no tomorrow. He catches your eyes and you notice his cheeks were lined with a pink dusted blush. He's so freaking adorable that you felt your own cheeks warm up. He decided to make a comment on this strange phenomenon that you never hadn't happen to you before.

"They think we're a couple. They're saying such nice things about us."

You just laughed a little bit and nodded. These awesome people weren't privileged and spoiled so they were more chill and nicer. They aren't bratty and rotten like the kids you both go to school with.

"Well, yeah. These people are a lot nicer than the spoiled rich kids who find themselves at Ouran. Not including you of course. They accept things that we call out of the norm because they have lower expectations. They're a lot more open to new things and they appreciate the things that we find a nuisance like walking everywhere and having to go to the supermarket. We take stuff for granted all the time. It's nice to find yourself in a much better enviorment a lot. That's why I sneak away from home and come here every chance I get. Makes me more humble and I feel accepted for being who I am here."

Woah, you didn't expect to go in such a deep rant, yet you can't find a single flaw or lie in your statement. Everything you said was one hundred percent true. From your distaste for the majority of people at Ouran Academy to the fact that this place that the rich kids label as the poor town for commoners makes you feel the most at home. You can be yourself and you out become more modest and kind, getting better human on human interaction here. You watched Kaoru for a reaction. His face went Nuetral and he looked ahead at where you were walking for a while. You pretty much forgot you were walking and he was holding on to your arm cutely. It made you wonder how cold your arm would feel if you let go.

"I guess you're right again, (name). People are nicer here than they are at the academy. And I guess we are on a date so we kind of are a couple, at least for right now. I feel a lot less lonely than normal, probably because you are here. Thank you for taking me to the Casino, and thank you for finding me. I don't know how today would have turned up if you hadn't spotted me in the crowd!"

Kaoru then looked back over at you, flashing you yet another one of his heart melting innocent smiles. You heard a bunch of girls and even a few boys silently squeal to themselves about how lucky you were to have such an amazing partner. They didn't assume. Well, fanpeople are fanpeople no matter where they are in the world. You noticed that Kaoru's hand wasn't hanging down by your own. You decided to grab it and hold it. Kaoru looked down to see you holding his hand, curiosity and a hint of joy flickering in his irises. You repeated yourself once more before the chapter ended.

"Like I said before, you deserve a fun day."
