Chapter Seven: I'M the video game Boi! I'M the one who wins!

After running out of the casino with a lot of money you both stop sprinting when you make it around a few corners and in front of a building. Kaoru fell to his knees and you leaned on a building for support. Being honest that's the hardest you have ran in the long history of forever. You look over at Kaoru, panting like a dog. He had his hands on the ground for reinforcement while sitting on his knees and he was trying to laugh while catching his breath. That's a Deathwish. Who would ever do that!? It's stupid! Don't waste your breath laughing! Wait, oh no. He said laughing and it's making you laugh too. Well, that's just great. That was sarcasm. Curse writing and words so it's difficult to make anythin sarcastic without the reader interpreting it a sarcasm. 

"Where's.... the arcade...?" 

Kaoru puffed out, trying his best to stand back upright. He almost fumbled back down. You held in your out of breath laughed and raised your finger to point towards a building down the street. The Arcade wasn't far from here. After that experience from the casino you we're positive you could expect something amazing from your next destination on your little date. Speaking of your little date, you should probably take him to get some food after the arcade. Just a little foreshadowing.... Hooray for fourth wall breaks to up the word count.

"Just down there, RuRi."

You snuck in the nickname from the previous chapter, just to try and see if he would notice it this time. You watched his face go pink again. Aww, his blush was adorable! He must have noticed the nickname this time. You wanted it to be different than Hikaru, since he is his own person and deserves to be awknowledged as such. That's why you chose RuRi. His name ends with Ru and you wanted to make it cute by adding Ri. It just slips off the tongue. Kaoru tried to shake off his embarassment and smile it away, averting all eye contact from you. He's too adorable you don't deserve to be spending this quality time with the best host.

 He didn't seem like he could manage to say anything so you just took his wrist and led him down the street to the arcade. Once you made it to the front gates you saw his eye so completely light up. His gaze instantly landed on the DDR machine's flashing lights way in the back. You couldn't help but smirk. He turned his face towards you, grinning widely. You just nodded with a sigh. Kaoru did a fanboy squeal and ran towards the back. You followed him, hands in your pockets. You glanced past the other kids and teenagers playing the other machines. You take notice that's the multiplayer racing game was occupied. Oh well. DDR for life baby. You make it to the machine where Kaoru already placed some Yen on the screen for next turn. How did he know the traditional DDR ediquette? If anything you would have thought that he'd have his own machine at home. The current player was a kid who looked like a first year of high school. They were playing an easy stage and they were doing pretty well. It looked like an older sibling or parent was watching them off to the side. You just focused on Kaoru, who was smirking like he was going to blow everyone away. Before long it was Kaoru's turn.

"Watch me (Nickname)!"

Kaoru cheered, stepping up to the DDR pad. You chuckled at the nickname. He tried but failed at getting payback for embarrassing him earlier. It was more adorable and ours than anything. The kid stayed around, placing a yen on the screen for next play. You rolled your eyes and watched as their parent sighed in annoyance. Rest In Peace parent. Meanwhile Kaoru went through the song list and found Paranoia Survivor Max, the hardest song in DDR history. He selected expert difficulty. You saw the Kid's face go pale. Kaoru smirked and had the song selected. He shook his arms and focused on the screen. You watched the entire arcade swarm around as Kaoru became the legend this city needed.

Soon the entire place was swarmed around Kaoru, splicing their yen on the screen ready to play.  Cheering and a thoaring crowd began cheering him on. You managed to find the loudest person out of the entire group and get them to chant his name. You were debating on being the most evil person in the world and have them start chanting his nickname you gave him. But nah. He probably needs to concentrate. Kaoru was dancing furiously, never prying his eyes away from the game. Everyone was on edge, waiting to see the ding screen. Kaoru relaxed as the last note of the song was played. Everyone leaned in to see his results. Screams and applause thundered from everyone once they saw he had a perfect fucking score. Kaoru just opened his arms wide, accepting all the praise. You could see the pride in his eyes. The smile completely gave it away. He just gave in to the endless "KAORU! KAORU! KAORU!" Booming from the arcade. He then jerked his head over to see you. He literally jumped off the DDR thingy and into your arms. Everyone instsntly started squealing like fanpeople. They ship it.

"(Nickname), did you watch me? I think I did great! Did I earn an ice cream?"

Oh no. The adorableness. It's too much! Everyone stsrted saying stuff, all being summarized to "BUY HIM AN ICECREAM!!!" Kaoru gave you these big, adoranle puppy dog eyes that only the most innocent and adorable of Boiz can give. You ruffled his hair affectionately again, getting a half laugh from him. He wins. He will get whatever he wants. Whatever he wants he will get. You're going to spoil the hell out of him. Why? He deserves it! He just beat the hardest song on the hardest difficulty! At the very least he deserves is an ice cream! Hmm... maybe you should give him a kiss or something? Embarrass him in front of everyone? He's adorable when he's embarrassed. Kiss him like he's a prince who just stayed the dragon. That ought to make him the most special boi in all the special Boiz. He deserves that in the very least.

"You earned more than an Ice Cream, RuRi."

You gave him a peck on the nose, the crowd went insanely wild. In the heat of the moment you decided to try and be a macho person. You picked up Kaoru bridal style and walked straight up out of the Arcade. Everyone cheered and waved you goodbye. You even had a fangirl say "I LOVE YOU KAORU!!!" On the way out. To be honest, you've never seen anyone so happy. He just covered his face with his hands, letting you carry him out. You saw an ice cream cart down the street. Sweet. You'll just walk him there.
