A New Years Kiss

Lafayette's pov

That was the best Christmas I've had yet. But we all know what comes after Christmas, it's time to say goodbye to the year I've lived and Hello to the year I've yet to live.

We where all going over to Thomas's house for the count down (even tho Angie didn't want to for some reason)

I got dressed wearing a lighy blue hoodie with black ripped jeans. I pulled my hair into it's normal neat bun and was ready to go.

Me, Herc, Alex and John got to Thomas's and realised this wasn't just for are small group of friends, this was a huge party with nearly everyone from are collage there.

This had me slightly nervous but people I know would be there so I had nothing to worry about at all.

We walked into the house and it was crazy....music blasting, Lights flashing, People yelling and dancing and drinking all sorts of stuff.

I tried to stay by the other three until Alex and John went of on there own and I lost Herc in the crowd.

It was annoying because I really liked kissing Herc and he made a joke that morning saying "Hey Laff, you better save that new years kiss for me" and I giggled and nodded.

Great....I guess I'll just have to find them before the count down. So I walked around for a bit seeing so many people saying hello to me and that we had a few classes toghter but I don't remember most there faces.

I walked around finding people snorting lines and all sorts of other things. I was offered a hit but kindly declined as I'm not ready to be a druggy yet.

Walking around I finally saw a face I recognized...it was....Lee...and James Reynolds. He looked annoyed. And had different plasters over different point on his face.

I didn't want to ask him about it instead turned and walked the opposite way praying to god he didn't notice me.

All of a sudden I hear the noise of people yelling

"Ten!"

Wait are they starting the count down!?!?

"Nine!"

Oh no there are!?!?

"Eight!"

I need to find Herc!

"Seven!"

I try push through the crowd but I can see him anywhere!

"Six!"

I find myself against a wall trying to look over the crowded room to find him.

"Five!"

I can't seem to find him anywhere!

"Four!"

God dame it where is He!

"Three!"

Everything feels like it's slow motion and my heart is racing!

"Two!"

I close my eyes in defeat...maybe next year...

"One!"

I feel a pair of lips press against mine. Thank god he found he on time! I gently kiss him back.

"Happy New Year!!!!"
