(discretely implied lamp.
There isn't much to say about this chapter. I worked on it after watching a lot of The Voice on youtube along with X Factor and all of those great singing competition shows. I decided to make this chapter just for fun but if you'd like me to make a separate book on this just comment and vote.)

"The Sanders showcase is a show where people could have a chance to make it high on the chart of dreams to become a professional singer
and/or songstress. This is your chance, thomas, to, captivate us with your voice." Logan Sanders stated with his hands folded.
He was sat beside patton, who, to his right was roman, and finally, the toughest judge to impress, Virgil sanders.
They were all sat together at a big table directly in front of the stage where Thomas stood, doing his best not to freak out too much. At the table was microphones in from of all four judges along with a glass of water on a coaster besides each ones microphone. They all had papers in front of them, probably a list of people and songs they had coming their way for the night.

"Tell us about yourself Thomas." Virgil sanders requested into the microphone in front of him.

"Well, I grew up with three brothers and a whole lot of disney. I really love all my friends who are supporting me here today, which I'm grateful for. And I'm a youtuber, but most people know me from vine." Thomas announced into the microphone gripped in his sweaty hand, trying to ignore the crowd and all the cameras.

"I thought I recognised you. You're the story time guy." Virgil commented seemingly skeptical, a finger pointed to the man on stage.

"That's me. Um, today I'll be singing an original song that me and a few good friends put together a while ago. It's called rear view."
Thomas smiled anxiously.

"Whenever you're ready kiddo." Patton smiled, folding his hands.

Thomas took a deep breath before the music began to play through the speakers.

"When I put you in the backseat of my rear view
If you really trying to get to something new
Oh yeah we better run like tan lines
And you had me in your headlights

I'm thinking of you and we should dance around the weather
There's perfect sunshine and rain
And if I can see you one more time
This feeling might go away (no)

When I put you in the backseat of my rear view
If you really trying to get to something New
Oh yeah we better run like tan lines (no)
And you had me in your headlights (no)

Watching in my rear view I think you should know
I'm just not that used to being alone
Don't you use my rear view
I think you should know
I'm just not that used to being alone-"
Thomas immediately stopped after Logan's hand was held up to stop him, hearing a sniffle from one of the judges. Patton Sanders was crying.

Thomas felt guilt consume him,
did he do something wrong? He may not know the judges personally but he still felt bad for making anyone cry.

Logan patted pattons back slightly,
Handing him his cup of water.
Patton collected himself enough to speak.

"Thomas, why did you choose this song to sing to us today?"

"Well.. A couple years ago, my mother passed away, and I haven't been able to cope with it much.. Um.. I've found the outlet of singing a decent help but the feeling that really hurts always returns..." Thomas go a little choked up. He didn't tell any of his friends about his hidden depression and confessing on stage and on tv really made him feel even more exposed.

"..Thomas, people like you are why we made this show possible. We're looking for those voices that stand out and," he motioned his hand twords Patton who was a sobbing mess.

"..Touch people." He finished.

"Yes." Logan judged, quick to get his score over with so he could help Patton calm down.
Patton have a shakey thumbs up, head down on the table, most likely soaking his papers.

"Absolutely, that was amazing Thomas. I hope you see you produce your own music one day. You have a future." Roman clapped, making the entire audience clap.

Now, after some silence, it was finally virgils turn to share his score. He sat up properly and leaned forward to his Mic.

"You.. Surprised me. I thought you'd be like the rest. Here to please. But you came with pure intentions. You came Here today and it really took a lot for you to sing for us and you even touched us all. You've got high marks from me. " Virgil stated while sitting back.

Thomas smiled brightly and everyone began to clap. A few tears slipped from his eyes and his friends joined him on stage to group hug him.

Virgil took note that they'll have to hire better security guards.
