Gajeel's POV
Shrimp and I were running down the fire escape.
"Gajeel, be careful. There are things which you can hit your head on!"
"Mind yourself as well then!"
"Gajeel." Levy stopped and had a bored expression on her face. "I'm tiny. I don't have any problems aside from getting away from the zombies."
"Oh so -," I was interrupted by hitting my head on a metal pipe which decided 'you know what? I'm just going to stick off of the building, just for laughs.' "That hurt."
"Told you." Shrimp smirked, waltzing past me as I rubbed my head.
She got to the end of the stairs and beckoned me over. "Shit just got real Gajeel."
I saw what she meant. A huge cluster of them were below us, oblivious to our presence but still causing a problem. We couldn't get down.
"Climb in that window there Shrimp." I said, pointing to the window beside her.
She looked in, then shook her head violently. "You don't want to go in there, or even look in there right now." Me being the idiot I was back then decided to look in the window.
I guess somebody didn't cover themselves in enough zombie guts.
Who was it? Well...
"Gajeel! I have an idea!" Levy whisper squealed. She picked up a metal pipe which had fallen from the wall and threw it as far as she could. It created a huge sound and the zombies were attracted to it. The cluster slowly but surely made their way over to the sound, allowing Levy and I to jump off from the fire escape and get away.
I scraped my arm on the wall whilst jumping, but it wasn't a problem.
I took the sleeve of my t-shirt, ripped it off and tied it around the cut.
"You ready? The palace is over this way." Levy said quietly, standing beside another alleyway. "Shortcut."
I nodded then acted like a zombie and walked over to her. There weren't as many zombies now that the cluster had gone, only us and maybe ten more.
The cluster had like thirty.
Just before I got to her, my right foot wouldn't budge, when I looked down to see what had happened I was mortified to see a legless zombie about to bite at my ankle.
"Fuck!" I whispered. "I thought I was covered in their guts!!" I tried to kick it off but it's grip was tight.
"Gajeel!" Shrimp quietly cried.
All of a sudden, the zombie let go of my leg and fell face down onto the concrete.
"Good going Shrimp."
"That wasn't me."
Two figures jumped down from a ledge presumably and landed in front of me, throwing what looked like nina stars at all of the zombies heads.
"Go." A female voice instructed. "We'll meet you at the end of the alleyway okay?"
I nodded and ran towards Levy.
"Who were they?!" She asked.
"I don't know, someone from Fairy Tail I guess." We got to the end of the alleyway and by the time we'd got there, the two ninja Fairy Tail people had caught up with us.
"That was close Jellal." The girl took off her ninja mask and was revealed to be the red-head I saw on my first week, Erza Scarlet.
"Yeah, you can say that again." Jellal answered back, taking off his mask.
