Levy's POV
We had been running for hours, the sun had risen by the time we'd finally gotten far away from the zombies chasing us. Gajeel wouldn't let me down, he continued to carry me and he didn't say anything at all.
"Gajeel! Let me down! I can walk!" I moaned, whacking him as hard as I could.
"Gajeel, she looks fine to me, you should let her walk on her own two feet now." Erza agreed.
"She's bitten on her ankle or something," Natsu pointed out, "Levy will fall behind if we let her walk."
"I ain't letting her down, it could worsen when she walks." Gajeel growled. "If anyone doesn't want me to carry her, then feel free to carry her yourself."
I sighed and gave up trying to be put down. The others all just shot each other secret looks and made little gestures.
What? I mouthed to Erza.
She shook her head and waved her arms as if to say it was nothing, but I wasn't giving up that easily.
I kept trying to get Erza to tell me what they were um, 'gesturing' about but all of my attempts meant nothing when she kept shaking her head.
The rest of the journey was tiring. Gajeel refused to let me down, the others kept talking behind my back, literally, and the pain in my ankle got worse. Beads of sweat continued to trickle down my forehead, and I always used my right hand to wipe them away, whilst my left hand gripped Gajeel's coat tightly.
"How much further..?" A tired Natsu asked.
"Shh! There's a small cluster to the right." Lucy said.
"They've seen us." Gray stated.
"Well done Captain Obvious!" Gajeel hissed.
"Boys, now is not the time!" Erza whispered. "As long as they think we're like them, then we should be fine."
Erza and the rest of the group's hopes were shattered when a zombie lunged for Yukino. Luckily, Lucy was able to yank Yukino and Erza, who was helping Yukino, away before the thing could sink it's teeth in their flesh.
"T-Thank you Lucy, nggh(orwhateverstrangesoundworkshiyawelldoneforreadingthis)...." Yukino grabbed on to her wounds from earlier and Gray walked over to her and picked her up.
"I'll take care of her now Erza, you get ready to fight."
"Gray-sama..." Juvia's eyes flashed with jealousy.
"What...? Oh, it's to protect her Juvia! Seriously..." He sighed and shook his head. "Women."
"Oh? What's that about women?" Lucy asked, putting her hands on her hips.
"Now now Gray, let's not bring sexism into this fight." Erza bellowed, picking up a sharp road sign and throwing it perfectly aimed at a zombies face. "We all know how it will end."
"How then?" Jellal asked.
"Uhh, well..." Erza was obviously flustered. But before she could say anything, she was cut off by a voice from above.
"Well then, what do we have here? A bunch of Fairies with one of our guild mates?"
Yukino's eyes widened and tears fell from her eyes as she looked up. "Sting..."
Sting grinned at us then threw down some guns, everyone flinched when they hit the ground. Miraculously, none of them were triggered when they met the ground. Jellal grabbed a pistol and gave it to Mavis who then started shooting zombies shouting all sorts of curses.
