Part 3 - The Winner

Gajeel's POV

Levy paced around the mat. For every step she took, I took one in the oposite direction. The people who were watching had drinks and popcorn, they were enjoying the show.

"What happens if I lose?" I asked Levy.

"Hmm, well you already owe me a big favour since I saved your sorry ass from the zombies yesterday. So, you have to ask Makarov to down grade you to rookie rank." She smiled at her punishment. "You have to beg."

"Ohh!" A gasp came from the crowd.

"Shut up!" I yelled at them. "You don't have to watch!"

"You need a witness for the victor!"

"Yeah!"

"Afraid to lose in front of a crowd?"

I shook my head and continued to pace around the mat. Suddenly, Levy aimed a kick at my stomach. I jumped up and kicked her foot down. She swung her body to the left, evading my attack. She aimed a punch at my face and I blocked it with my open palm. Whilst she was trying to get her hand free from my grasp, I used my other hand to punch her in the stomach. She stumbled backwards, winded.

"Trouble McGarden?"

"Eh...No." She ran towards me and just as I was about to kick she jumped to the right and suddenly she was behind me. Then, she kicked my back and did some weird ninja move which made me fall flat on my face. "Trouble Redfox?"

I grinned, then stood up. "Now you're asking for it."

She looked at me and did a sarcastic 'Ah!'.

I darted towards her, then anticipated her attack. She could've hit me from the left, the right or just tried to trip me up. Suddenly, I saw her left arm move and ran towards her right hand side. I was right. She was going to punch m with her left hand, so when I got to her right, it took longer for her arm to reach me. Long enough for me to get behind her and kick her behind her knees.

It seemed as if she was ready for any trick like that because rather than falling she front flipped and kicked me in the process.

"Don't try to trip me up."

"You must be a mind-reader."

"I'm not, believe me. I just pay attention to my enemy's moves."

We were engaged in hand-to-hand combat for a long time. She'd hit me, I'd hit her. The crowd would go "ooh!" The crowd would go "ahhhh!"

I noticed that Mira-Jane was often staring and scratching her chin as if she was thinking. Her face scared me when she did that.

"I got it!" She yelled out randomly at one point. Everyone, including Levy, turned to face her. "I mean, I got that bug which was flying around my head and I swatted it and I got it so that's why I yelled 'I got it!' Like ummm..... Oh my gosh! Ha ha ha!!"

"Mira-nee...." Lisanna tugged on her arm. "Let's get you your medication."

She's on medication? She's level 9, what medication is she on?

"I'm not on medication! I just see ships everywhere!"

"Okay then..." Elfman walked over to the two and picked up Mira-Jane. "I think you need some sleep."

I snapped out of my daze from staring at the strange family and saw that everyone was watching the three...and not paying attention to the fight.

Even Levy was watching the three, so I quickly ran forwards and snapped her out of her daze.

"Shit!"

I kicked her legs from beneath her and let her fall to the floor.

She landed with a quiet thud. Then she kicked the back of my left knee which caused me to fall to the floor with her. I chuckled, it was funny, a girl that small could kick me to the floor.

"What's so funny?!"

"Nothing."

Levy tried to kick me in the face, but I grabbed her foot before it met my face. Then (with great effort), I stood up still holding Levy and grinned. Levy was struggling and attempted to kick my arm to make me let go, but I grabbed her other foot, so only her hands were free.

Luckily she was wearing shorts so I didn't see anything, and she was wearing a tight top so it wasn't revealing anything there.

"Let me go!"

"I think that I've won...Shrimp." I mind high-fived myself. Calling her 'Shrimp' must've annoyed her because she struggled even more.

"Look's like Gajeel's the winner!" Mira-Jane yelled, before squealing when Elfman and some others dropped her.

Why were all of them holding her? Well, when a girl who is amazing at fighting starts to retaliate when her brother trys to help her when she is going mental does require more than one person to move them.

"No way! I beat Natsu once, how could I be beaten by this newbie!" Levy cried.

"Sorry Shrimp. Guess that means I'm stronger than Natsu."

"Can I just say, Natsu had been on a recovery mission so he was tired." Lisanna called out.

"Damn it Lisanna!" Levy whispered. "I wanted to sound strong."

"Well the name 'Shrimp' won't do you any good." I chuckled. She gave me a death stare then stormed out of the room.

I got some "good job!"'s and other praises from random people. When Mira-Jane came up to me she said something weird.

What did she say?

"GaLe? Or GajEvy?"

What does that mean?
