"Looks like they definitely take after you." Felicity joked as she had an arm wrapped around Oliver back. He held her close trying to hide a smile.
"Still mostly only remember the other timeline," Tommy said as he held Max on his arms.
"But she's not wrong," Olivia said as she looked to Sean. "Being Hero's is a part of us."Olivia looked back at her parents. "This timeline might not have done the same amount of damage to me as the last but it's still taken things I care about away from me. It's taken things away from those I love. I can at least make up for it."
"Liv, you can't blame yourself for what happened. I don't and no one else does. You went back to get answers and to help your brother."Hayley stood and put a hand on her best friend back.
"You watched us get killed," Oliver said. "No one can blame you for what happens."
"Emotional mirror image." Olivia said."Dad, I was there back then. I know the stories you two told us. If there was an award for best self blame and guilt for anything it's you ten times over."
Olivia couldn't see herself in a really good place for a long time. But time healed. In the original timeline, she hurt. She had blood on her hands and no one had treated her the same from the moment she had lost Sean. She made it her life mission to find the men that killed him and then fought most nights till she ended up with a black eye or busted lip.
The guilt she felt for not getting her brother in time or stopping the kidnapping, to Sean being killed the guilt was there and it grew. Her relationship with her parents changed. But strangely going back to get answers, to get help, helped her. Not just to get her brother back. But seeing another side of her parents. Bonding with them in a way she didn't get to before. Leaving was hard but knowing she'd return to still see them helped. She got Sean back. She got a little brother.
"Hero's or not, we're proud. Family is everything. And I trust...We won't run out of family."Felicity said as she looked between Hayley and Sean."
"Of course not, I'm not crazy," Hayley said as she took Max from Tommy leaving Tommy with a pouty face.
"I'll be 6 feet under before I tell a soul."Sean said. Olivia looked at Sean a somewhat mad face rested."Sorry forgot."
Not too long before everyone left leaving everyone named Queen in the house Olivia looked up at her ceiling looking at the glowing stars. Hearing her door creak open she turned seeing her brothers. She sat up in her bed. They went over taking seats on the bed next to her.
"So you two are following in mom and dad's footsteps?" Robbie asked.
"For now. It's the only thing we really know how to do."Olivia pulled her brother closer."You're not allowed."
"Oh please, I'm sticking to my karate and then going to business school. Maybe even give the family company a major return."
"You're the good one. Only took them two tries."Tommy joked. Olivia hit her brothers arm. Robbie kissed his sister's cheek and left her room. Tommy leaned on the wall and looked at her."Hey Liv...I don't know if I told you but...Thanks. I might be able to conjure up anything I imagine but...You're the hero. More hero than I'll ever be."
"No...I'm not..."Olivia looked at her hands in her lap then played with the sheets. "Hero's don't do what I have. I've...taken lives...I've put my needs before others."
"Are you kidding me?" Tommy sat up."Dad spent 5 years in hell, killed to survive and became Star City's hero. Even if it took them a while to see. But every Hero is selfish. You lost me. You lost Sean. You watch Mom and Dad die, at my hand. In the dark times...You pushed through. You kept going when most would have given up. You're stronger than you think. And a hero. You proved that tonight." Tommy held her hand."Twin promise." They locked pinkies. Tommy left her room making her look outside her window the moon shining through.
She lived in darkness for so long and now...Her life is better. There wasn't blood on her hands and everything was stable and real. Sean was alive even if it meant her best friends boyfriend, father of her child, had taken his place. Which Hayley already forgave seeing as she felt the pain of loss and knew what was going through Olivia at the moment she went back in time to change the future.
Olivia knew going back would change but she didn't know it would do it like that. But she doesn't spend her days boiling in pain. She doesn't feel her heartache anytime she walks by the empty room that was her brothers, or take out her anger on her parents. She has a good relationship with everyone even if she still keeps her street fighting secret from everyone.
She's not living in darkness anymore.
