"Honey," Olivia turned to the sound of her mother's voice. As she stopped on the stairs. Her blond hair was pulled up to a messy bun like Olivia's. Olivia could see many similarities from herself to her mother visually. But Olivia's hair is a dark brown. Naturally a light brown, it's been dyed a dark chocolate colour. Oliver and Felicity weren't happy when she came home one day at 14 with a new haircut and hair colour. Now 16 her hair seems to be changing more often now long and black. "Whats going on?"
"I'm staying with Jessie, remember? Before she leaves for England for the summer." Olivia grabbed her bag throwing it over her shoulder.
"That's right, sorry honey, have a good night."
"Love you see you tomorrow," she grabbed her house keys and headed out the door with a smile.
She grabbed the small bag from her closet containing her secret life from a secret compartment in her room. A life she kept hidden from her parents knowing they'd disapprove. They wanted to do things their way. Olivia wasn't a big fan of a way that wasn't hers.
When She heard a car horn twice she ran from the porch to the car with her best friend inside.
Olivia hopped in the car and she smiled at her best friend since childhood. "Ready?"
"A quick stop to change somewhere then sure." She pulled out of the driveway as Olivia put the new location into her maps.
It wasn't a long drive but she still stopped by a gas station allowing Olivia to change into her ripped jeans shorts. Black sports bra and a loose white tank top. Olivia tied her black Nike shoes on tight and then wrapped her hands in the boxers hand wraps.
"Come one Olivia."Jess said as she knocked on the door. Olivia looked in the mirror as she zipped on the dark purple hoodie. While covered in things She didn't really want to know what, she only noticed how different she looked. If her 13 year old self saw her now she'd be freaked out. Her 13 year old self was scared of her own powers.
That's right, Olivia Queen has powers. But on nights like tonight, She doesn't use them, she don't need them. Olivia closed her eyes thinking back to a night, She wished never happen.
"Tommy!" Olivia called out tears building in her eyes.
"Liv!" Tommy yelled.
"Coming!"Olivia grabbed her bag and ran out the bathroom. Going back to the car they continued down the road reaching the abandons warehouse. Many other cars were near and she could hear loud music. She recognized the song and the band.
It's music her parents we're really approving of. Though it stop her from listening.
She quickly put the face paint over her eyes like a mask. Something her father once wore. "Let's do this, Rouge." Olivia smiled at the fighting name given to her last year.
Walking into the building we're people ranging from 16 to nearly 50 enjoyed their time and watched the current fight. All love fighting if not watching the few who decide to join can fight. Olivia only found out thanks to getting into a fight in school and a kid she never met just gave her a card. Suddenly a week later she was underground in an abandon train station fighting with a stranger for the fun of it.
"Let's get this party started!" A man Olivia recognized as Jake yell into a microphone. Everyone around her cheered and started gathering.
Olivia and Jess stood close to the circle as the first two men stepped up. Both rookies. One was a small but muscular. The other pretty average muscular. Olivia only noice how their fighting style was wild and not planned out. Mostly they just took shots at each other.
Olivia fought like her father. He taught her everything he knows. She spent extra time perfecting her fighting till she was 15. That's why she doesn't need her powers.
Jess calls her powers unique and "So-freaking-awesome!" Olivia can turn invisible, but she can also create force fields that are completely unbreakable. Around herself or others. It come in handy as well if she ever wanted the last piece of bacon.
"Next up is longtime champion Rouge!"Jake yelled. Olivia stepped up into the ring as people cheered. The hood one over her head and secured tomboy move."With Tony the Tiger!" There was a mixture of cheers and boos which made Olivia smile as a kid maybe her age stepped up. He was big and muscular. She could already tell he was most likely into football. She also could tell this was going to be easy.
"You know the rules." Jake stepped up into the centre of the taped out ring. Olivia put her hands in her shorts pockets. "Don't kill him," Jake said. He put up his hand then quickly brought it down."Match!"
Right away Tony went after her. It was easy enough for her jump up grabbing hold of his torso then flipping enough to take Tony down. For a moment. He then got a punch making her pause for a moment. She looked back at him with a glare that made him know, he was in trouble.
Olivia punched him then jumped on his back wrapping her arm around her neck. Clawing at her arm he tried to get off but Olivia was stronger so bending over to took advantage and brought him down with her making him land on his back next to her clearly done. Hitting the cement floor with a hand she let go.
"Rouge is the winner!" Jake yelled helping Olivia up and holding up her hand. The cheers made her smile.
"Cops!" It's was like ants when their hill gets ruined. Everyone started to run. Olivia followed everyone while everyone passed an opening in the building Olivia jumped in hiding being the wall. When everyone passed and the cops following them passed Olivia let go of a deep breath.
"Hands up!" Olivia turned looking at the cop in front of her. She followed instructions as a Tazer was on her.
"Shit."
