Another night she woke up screaming, then unable to breathe. Another night Oliver had to old her tight till her body finally calmed down. Only this time it was worse. When meeting with Melanie opened her mind more to itself. Breaking down a few walls she put up for a reason. Felicity's worry only grew. Oliver found himself starting to worry as well.
All avoided the subject till everyone was down at the base. Diggle and Oliver stood while Felicity rolled around looking at the computers. Curtis was at the glass round table messing with some new gadget he was making. Olivia on the other hand had earbuds in her ears and listening to her music on full blast as she boxed with the hanging bag. From what Oliver could see she was giving everything she had. He saw something he recognized.
"Should we be worried about her?" Olivia gave a hard side kick to the bag making it swing. Oliver glanced at Diggle.
"She woke up screaming. She's definitely not...okay." Oliver crossed his arms.
"She came back from the future where she watched her twin brother kill us, the two people who raised and cared for her." Felicity turned around in her chair still clearly conflicted about everything that was told to her about how she died. "Of course she's not going to be okay."
Oliver got down to the same level so he was eye to eye with Felicity. "Hey," he grabbed her hand. "We'll stop it. We'll grow old and sit on a porch in rocking chairs." Diggle smiled as Oliver stood. Felicity went back to the computer. Only she saw as Olivia was punching even harder and clearly pushing through how tired she really was.
"Can you stop her before she makes herself pass out." Oliver took his suit jacket off and started making his way over her back to him. He tapped her shoulder only she spun around with a kick nearly hitting him only he ducked just in time and catching her punch. She pulled back clearly shocked.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Olivia took one of her ear buds out.
"It's alright. I should have just stepped in front of you." She took a deep breath but turned back to the punching back ready to hit again. "Hey take a break, grab a snack."
"Aren't you mayor or something? Don't you have city business to attend to?"
"Building up your walls won't help anyone." Oliver crossed his arms. Olivia could only see her father. She wanted to run and hug both of her parents. Only her parents know and trust her. At least trust her when they aren't picking her up from police stations. They also know everything about her. Right now they don't even know the truth of who she is.
It helps her face is still bruised and her hair is dyed. Diggle put one and one together but he had been trying to get them together for years and even married them. She was the perfect blend of her parents. If it was Tommy they might put it together considering he's more of a mirror image almost of Oliver.
As fate would and did put it, he held Felicity's personality while Olivia held her fathers. Except her end of fate wasn't as kind as her as it was her brother.
"It helps me." Olivia walked passed him and onto the platform. As she stepped up the computers gave out an alert. Olivia stepped up to one of the side computers. Felicity rolled over ready to stop her from messing something up only Olivia had pulled up the alert about as fast as she would.
"That's him. He's walking down Ansley St. And Cross Dr. Walking towards the Glades. The part that's still under major construction." Olivia sped walked off the plat form where her things where. She threw on her shirt over her sports bra.
"Where do you think your going?" Felicity said. Olivia noticed how it's was more like her mother than Felicity. As if a part of her was seeing the connection.
"I'm going to stop Gillard before the problem starts."
"No, we're going to stay here track him then come up with a plan."
"No time for that."
"You don't know anything about this guy, you could get hurt." Oliver walked up to her."if you want your brother back your gonna have to do it by our rules."
"I'm not a child!"
"Then stop acting like one."
Olivia pinched her mouth then walked off to the kitchen area. She went right for the fridge. Opening the freezer she found the mint chip ice cream. Her mother doesn't change at all. "Liv.." Olivia looked up at Diggle.
"He's right there in the open, we could stop him and put him away before he can do anything. Do anything to me or my brother."
"But, they're right. You said he had powers. What if he got it during the first explosion? They want you to come out of this fight alive. We have to play it smart."
Olivia just took a bite of the ice cream. Dig couldn't help but smile at how she looked like Felicity just with black hair. Olivia wanted to save her brother and get everything over with.
"I'm stronger now. I have more control. I have have an unbreakable force field so what can he do to hurt me?"
"Let's not find out the answer to that question."
Diggle put an arm around her and she couldn't help but feel like she was back in her own time.
Oliver had left for the office and Felicity stayed at the base working with Curtis on the new business. Olivia had taken her time to rest. But she went right back to training. She wanted to be prepared for the night ahead of her.
Nothing was more important to her than catching him. Focusing on catching Gillard is the only thing that kept her from her memories. Remembering the people she's lost. Her parents, her brother, her best friend...the first person she ever loved.
