"I only know how to explain it one way. The way my Uncle Barry taught me." Olivia grabbed a sheet of paper then drew a line. " This is the time line. One event after another until this moment right now. But- I went back in time 17 years ago." Drawing a dot in the middle then making another line come out of it parallel to the first. "I came back to this time line. A changed one."
"Why did you go back?"
"The first time line, my brother was kidnapped. Taken in the middle of the night. We looked everywhere and for so long. There were very few moments I was ever away from thinking about a way to find him. Only person who let me live really was you Sean."he smiled taking the complement and likening that in both time line he was with her.
"A lot of things happened though. The day that..." Olivia froze as she looked to her best friend. Haylie new what day she was talking about over a year later she still can say it I'm either." In the original timeline, it was Sean that died." Haylie looked to her best friend. Sean looked hurt and confused."I had killed the muggers who did it and spent most of my time tracking down the third." Haylie never imagined Olivia saying anything like that. Sean never thought about his death before."In all honestly I pushed everyone away and I buried myself. One night after being arrested my mom and dad picked me up from the station on our way home only to be targeted in the middle of the high way. Mom died in the crash and Dad died when Tommy Drove a sword through his chest."
"Tommy?"
"He'd been brain washed. Then man taking over him, turned him into his puppet. I went back in time to save them. Stop the man who would kidnap Tommy before it happened."
"And you stopped him?" Haylie asked.
"Yeah. The past and the future one. I needed to tell you the truth."
"Anything else we should know?"
"Not that I know of."
Haylie knee Olivia well enough to know she was blaming herself for what's happened to her. Olivia hated that that was one of the cost of changing the future just so she could have her family back. Not realizing she'd actually get more. She never wanted her best friend to hurt.
She fixed her time line. Now there's another big bad, that's going after her family. Her extended hero family included.
