A lost love.

Jungkook hated life right now even more so as thousands of cameras were pushed into his face as he tried to smile. He waved and pretended he was in complete bliss with a beautiful girl on his arm.
"King Jeon when did you know it was time to marry?"
"Almost immediately."
He kept the questions short just incase he'd cave in or cry on camera. He proposed as quickly as he could and picked the first girl who had been suggested to him. Her name was Elizabeth, she was twenty two, a Korean singer and of a royal title. To anyone yes she would be perfect but he just couldn't force himself to feel anything. He was too dead inside and still secretly mourning the loss of his real love.
"Elizabeth how do you feel right now?"
She smiled gleefully and squeezed herself to Jungkook even tighter and he just smiled through the pain.
"It's like a dream come true we are very happy."
"When is the wedding?"
Jungkook frozen almost instantly staring at the reporter who came closer with a microphone. He tried to think of something to say until Elizabeth leaned over and spoke gleefully into the microphone.
"We haven't set a date just yet but keep your eyes open."
Jungkook sighed mentally with relief sort of grateful that she was answering most of the questions. They answered a few more questions and eventually left the press conference in Jungkook's limo. He sat there in complete silence wishing this wasn't his life and wishing he was dead. He couldn't bare the pain he felt every minute and how he would never feel love again.

His true love was gone, Jimin was gone now and he had to move on and marry this girl.
"Are you hungry darling?"
Darling...he hated the nickname almost instantly but just shook his head and smiled.
"I'm just going to my study."
"Aren't you forgetting something?"
Jungkook held in a shudder as he went over and leant down to kiss her softly, feeling his hands shake. He didn't have anything against girls but he didn't even like to touch her and the thought of their wedding night was worse. She kept suggesting stuff but he just told her to wait until the night as it would be more special. Luckily for him she found it incredibly romantic but still expected kisses.
"I'll be in my room."
He nodded his head and went into his study for some piece and quiet, sighing heavily as he locked the door. Her room...or what use to be Jimin's a place he couldn't even bare to think about. They slept separately and sadly she had chose the one room he wished she wouldn't pick but he could hardly tell her not to sleep in there. It wasn't easy this new life he had given himself but he was doing it for his father who had sadly passed away for unknown causes. They never did tell him and he never asked and only promised he would take care of his fathers legacy.

He wanted to do that for his dad and wished he could change his sexuality and just marry this girl but it hurt. Taehyung kept asking if he was sure about this but Jungkook just smiled and said he couldn't wait. He wanted to drag this out for as long as he could or until he could at least maybe learn to like the girl he was marrying. Elizabeth was nice and funny but she just wasn't Jimin and she certainly wasn't a guy. Jungkook sat down in his seat and opened up his draw to retrieve the photo of him and Jimin that he had destroyed but had since been reframed. He smiled to himself softly and stroked over Jimin's face and for a second no longer felt that emptiness.
"I love you."
He closed his eyes and imagined that look Jimin always use to give him and felt so warm and content.
"I miss you..."
He opened his eyes and tried to wipe away the wetness of his now bitter tears and shook his head.
"I don't know why I keep torturing myself like this Jimin but I can't stand the fact that you're gone...I wish you didn't leave like you did and that I could make you understand why I had to push you away..."
He shook his head because he felt silly for coming in here everyday just to talk to a picture but it was better than never looking at him again. He dreaded the days he wouldn't remember Jimin's laugh or how happy he made Jungkook feel. So this was all he had a photo. A photo of a lost love.
