That evening we decided to stay late to skate. I can see the toll it's taken on Meryl. She's always been the strong one. It's only been about a week since her accident. I don't understand how in the world she can be so calm.

"Charlie bro! I heard about Meryl's accident." I skate over to Maks and Val. I called them and they finally were able to get a flight to Michigan.

"So have you too done it yet?" Maks asks. "No plus it's none of your business nosy! How's the dancing going?" I ask listening to the calming sound of Meryl's skates against the ice.

"It's going good. We see you got Meryl back on the ice. " Val smirks. "Actually no, that's all she wants to do. I keep telling her she's still recovering but she won't listen." I laugh and so do Maks and Val.

"When you can't stop her, it's better just to join her. " the chmerkovskiy brothers say at once.

"We've all learned that pretty fast." I no longer hear the comforting sound of the blades scraping the ice.

"Where is Meryl?" Maks asks with slight concern. "I don't know, but we should probably find her." Val's speaks in his clear Russian accent.

I just get the love of my life back and I've lost her within 2 fucking seconds
