I wake up in the morning beside Charlie. I don't know what's going on but my head is pounding. I attempt to stand and fail. The dizziness takes over. I try again, refusing to wake up Charlie. I just need to get something in my system. I need to make it downstairs to eat. How will I do this? I try standing up again to know avail. I notice Charlie's old crutches in the corner. It's pathetic I know but I crawl over to them and use them. I slowly make my way downstairs with the support of the crutches. I make Charlie and I pancakes. I'm not the best cook but I think I'm at least a little bit decent. "Meryl?" Charlie calls out as he comes downstairs. "Holy shit mer!" He comes to me seating me by the island. "I just need something to eat, I'm a tad dizzy."
"why didn't you wake me?" Charlie pleads. I see him texting, probably Derek and Maks telling them. "I didn't want to wake you" he pushes his lips on my forehead and I smile. I just want to hold me. As if reading my mind he picks me up and we cuddle on the couch. All I want to do is sleep, realizing I still haven't ate, I decide to let myself drift off a little. Soon I plummet into pleasant dreams.
