Always and Forever

Chapter 13

Today's the day we dance. We are dancing a swing with jazz. Meryl insisted on doing some complicated lifts. Maks and I will both be dancing with her at the same time. Maks suggested it as a Just in Case type plan.

"You nervous?" I ask gently wrapping y arms around her. "Considering I had food poisoning this morning. Hell yeah. "(An: she actually was sick with food poisoning I think in the finale. Just trying to add some real things)

we walk on to the dance floor and get into our starting position. "Just look a how brave this girl is." The disembodied voice says. " working with good poisoning and still in recovery we have Meryl Davis dancing with partners Charlie White and Maks Chmerkovskiy!" We begin our dance and we end it perfectly. Maks puts Meryl on his back for a piggy back ride. And I hold her hand. "That was amazing guys!" Meryl's always been so enthusiastic! Especially Charlie, nice kiss at the end." I added in a kiss as we show the public we are in a loving relationship with each other and nobody else. I just can't wait to get home with my girlfriend and my dogs, Finn and DJ! Meryl's taking a particular liking to them.

"Set me down so I can get water." She jumps down and grabs her water, drinking it in slow sips. We did good I think." She says in between her breaths.

"Meryl, Charlie you did wonderful!" Derek and his new partner, Bethany, come and hug us.

"Meryl, it's so amazing to see you dance on the wood. I'm bethany!" She smiles at Meryl. I stand behind mer, my hands around her tiny waist in a protective manner.

"Thank you bethany! It takes some guts standing on that bass with a sprained ankle." Mer applauds her .

"Well, you when through it with broken toes!" Beth laugh in response and I am filled with joy at how well they are getting along. "When do you fly back to Michigan?" Derek asked.

"In a week." I tell Derek while Beth and mer are talking.

"Meryl's doing better that's good. What about you Charlie?" Derek's accuses.

"I'm perfect. I love taking care of Meryl honestly. There's a part of me that doesn't want her to recover just so I can hold her forever." I admit.

"Charlie, you won't lose her. Have you seen the way she looks at you? You have her heart now stop babying her! She is fine!" Derek is hitting a point with that. Meryl's fine. I need to ease up. That's why I will do...
