I had informed my friends that I would not be sitting with them at lunch, but with Yoongi instead. Of course, as expected, they freaked out and asked why. I told them I didn't know, but I just assumed it was because he wanted someone to sit with. We left it at that as we entered the lunch room. I scanned the room for him, and I saw him sitting alone at the end of one of the tables. I walked over to him and sat down across from him.

"Hey," I said happily, since it looked like he was in a bad mood.

He looked up at me, surprised. "Oh hi Emily."

His bad mood immediately left as soon as he saw me. I wasn't sure what I should say, since I'm not good at starting conversations. He wasn't saying anything either, so I thought maybe he just wanted my presence there. But the silence was killing me, so I decided to speak up.

"So, do you have any friends?"

"Nope. Well, except you."

I tried to control my blushing so he wouldn't see me. I wasn't sure if he considered me his friend or not, but I'm glad he did. He was my friend too.

"Do you have any friends," he asked suddenly.

"Yeah I have a few. They sit a few tables away."

"Are they good friends?"

I wasn't sure why he wanted to know, but I was completely honest with my response.

"I guess you could say they're good friends. They are so obsessed with boys though. That's probably what sets us apart. Also the fact that I'm anti social and they're not."

He laughed a little, which made me smile. He seemed to be a very good listener, and already a great friend. He was my first actual boy friend, and I already got along better with him than the girls. Most likely because he wasn't about drama.

"Well, I guess they see something in you if they want to be your friend."

"Yeah, I guess so."

It was silent for a minute again, but I decided to talk again. "So Yoongi, where did you live before moving here?"

He sighed, like it would be hard to explain. "Well, I lived in a town called Daegu, over in South Korea. It was a small town, but it felt like home. I was about to move to Seoul, but then my parents told me we were moving here."

"Wow, I had no idea you lived all the way over there! Was it a big adjustment to move over here?"

"No, not really. I had been to America before, so I knew my way around a little. It's still sinking in though."

"I'm sure it is. I move a lot too, so I know how you feel."

His eyes suddenly opened wide, and they looked scared. "Wait, does that mean you're gonna move and leave me already?"

I went from nervous to laughing. "Oh no! That's not gonna happen. My family has steady jobs here, so we're not moving any day soon."

His face relaxed, and I wondered why he had gotten so worried. Yes I am his only friend, but I'm sure he'll find other friends too. Wait a minute...could he really...no that's probably not it. I'm just overthinking things again.

He suddenly changed topics. "So, when is the dance?"

"I think it's two weeks from now. It's on a Saturday. Why do you ask?"

"I was just wondering."

"Ooh, are you gonna ask someone? I'm sure whoever it is you guys would look adorable together!"

"Yep, adorable together..." he muttered under his breath.

I really wanted to know who it was, even though he probably won't tell me.
