Pixelate 4: Shining Star

Chapter 12: Silver Lining

Shining Star has arrived at the Alpha server.

Andrea: "Good luck."

Micheal, Kyle, Isabel, Anthony, and Risa step through the mirror as Emily, Serena, Asaka, and Cole emerge.

Cole: "So where's your boss?"

William: "From what I remember, it's on the Omega server."

Serena: "So we're going to be able to show you guys are surfing skills!"

Robert: "You guys have server surfing too?"

Asaka: "We got it as a side effect of the total merge."

Emily: "Ah the memories..."

They begin to hurry towards the shore.

Andrea: "Just wait until you see what the Omega server is like."

They all hop onto boards.

Caleb: "(in head) I'm going to be one step closer."

They zoom off.

Five minutes later...

Serena: "What's going on?"

Their boards begin to tip upwards.

William: "To the moon!"

Cole: "Wait, what?!"

They begin to blast off towards the moon like rockets.

Asaka: "(struggling) My face feels like it's peeling off!"

Caleb: "(amazed) I... feel free."

They soon arrive at a port on the moon.

Andrea: "You guys okay?"

The four Knights are completely out of it.

Emily: "Give me a second."

Everyone straightens out.

Cole: "Now what?"

Robert: "The boss should be inside of a giant crater north of town."

Asaka: "Who has a town on the moon?!"

William: "Who wouldn't?"

Awkward moment of silence...

Emily: "Let's just go."

They push forward.

Meanwhile...

Aegis: "(blankly) Austin will gather the code on the other side while I take the code here."

Aegis floats above a massive moon crater.

Aegis: "(blankly) Code L.A. will grant us freedom."

Aegis flies into the crater.

Meanwhile...

Cole: "(cracking knuckles) Here we go."

They've just arrived at the edge of the crater.

Andrea: "Bingo!"

They can spot a large, cybernetic griffon resting at the bottom.

Emily: "Time to hit them with a little something called style!"

They slide their way down to the bottom, with the griffon awakening upon the sound.

Asaka: "Divide it's attention!"

As Asaka, Caleb, William, and Emily dodge left, the others dodge right, confusing the boss.

William: "Now attack!"

Everyone unleashes some of their best ranged attacks, but the boss puts up a force field and reflecting the attacks right back at them.

Robert: "But I never learned how to-"

Direct contact, causing them to take heavy damage.

Caleb: "Ouch..."

The boss begins to slash it's claws towards Caleb.

Caleb: "(shaking it off) I... can't!"

Caleb vaults his way over the boss and dealing a little damage in the back.

Serena: "Nice one!"

Andrea and Serena chip away at the sides.

William: "Let's kick it into overdrive!"

Cole and Robert smash down from above as it sends Andrea and Serena into the crater walls.

Robert: "Now that's a plan!"

The boss sends them flying into the air.

Caleb: "Bio-Link!"

Everyone else Bio-Links as Cole and Robert do it midair.

Aegis: "(in head) Yes, give us those precious codes."

They all dash forward.

Everyone: "Sorry we had to do it."

The boss is struck in four different directions, causing it to explode.

William/ Emily: "And that's style!"

The Bio-Links deactivate, causing Caleb to get to Lv27.

Serena: "Good to know that was-"

Aegis pops out, absorbing the remains of the boss.

Aegis: "(blankly) Perfect..."

Andrea: "Hey!"

Aegis vanishes before anyone can catch up.

Serena: "Now that's bull!"

Emily: "What was she doing?"

Robert: "Who knows?"

Asaka: "We'd better check in with Walker."

Cole: "Hope it isn't shit yourself worthy."

They log out.
