The next day...
Caleb: "(in head) I-I'm gonna s-stand-"
Flashback to eleven years ago...
Caleb is standing in a doorway, holding Echoes, as he sees an older woman in her mid sixties smashing a bottle on a similar looking woman in her mid thirties while in a drunken rage.
Older Woman: "(drunk) Y-You ungrateful piece of (burps) shit, y-your gonna go buy me some god dam fucking drinks."
Another bottle is smashed on the woman's head, with glass shards and a few drops of blood land on Caleb's face.
Caleb: "M-Mommy?"
The younger woman turns around to see her son on the verge of crying.
Aegis: "I'm taking my son and going you drunken whore!"
The flashback ends as the two exit a slightly damaged door.
Back to the present...
Teacher: "Mr. Aegis!"
Caleb was beginning to breathe heavily in the middle of his geometry class next to Risa.
Caleb: "S-Sorry."
Teacher: "(sighing) Anyways..."
The bell rings.
Teacher: "Remember to come back to class tomorrow with pages 25-26 problems complete."
Caleb and Risa exit the room.
Risa: "Why were you freaking out?"
Risa had a copy of one of her manga under her desk and had just slipped it back into her bag.
Caleb: "(looking down) Just memories."
Risa: "Yeah, try not to let that make the teacher look our way next time."
Caleb: "(looking down) I-I'll try."
They meet up with the others at the usual spot.
William: "Hey guys."
Risa: "Hey."
Isabel looks at Caleb, who has an expression of fear on his face.
Isabel: "What happened Caleb?"
Caleb: "(looking down) Rather not talk about it."
Kyle: "That's a bit rude."
Andrea: "Hey, if he'd rather not talk, he'd rather not talk!"
As Andrea and Kyle have a bit of a scuffle, Micheal and William quickly break it up.
Anthony: "Let's just go log in."
Caleb's ID Glove begins to have a flashing green light.
Robert: "Well now we'd better log in and see what Caleb just got!"
They begin to walk towards the log in.
Micheal: "Probably his Gem weapon."'
They nine eagerly walk into the log in building ten minutes later.
Twins: "Alright, let's do this!"
They nine enter the scanning rooms and log in.
In Pixel Reality...
Andrea: "Here we are."
Caleb is the last of them to log in as he just steps in.
William: "Well let's see what Walker gave you Caleb!"
