Chapter 11: Augments the 4th

A few days later...

Caleb: "(having a nightmare) Go away..."

Caleb he's something goof on his ID Glove, waking him up.

Caleb: "(drowsy) Guys?"

Caleb gropes around in the dark before grabbing his ID Glove and slipping it on.

Caleb: "Augments, meet us at the usual Login."

Caleb throws himself out of bed, only to find it raining outside.

Caleb: "(rubbing eyes) This won't be very fun."

Caleb slips on his normal clothes, grabs Echoes and an umbrella and leaves his cluttered room.

Walker: "Where are you going Caleb?"

Walker is sitting by the front door.

Caleb: "Th-The others had asked me to meet up with them so th-that we can get some Augments."

Walker: "(sighing) At least eat something before you leave. You haven't eaten much since your last attack."

Walker tosses Caleb a turkey sandwich.

Caleb: "O-Okay."

Caleb eats the sandwich quickly before exiting.

Three minutes later...

Yukiko: "No, no, no, no, the others must be getting antsy!"

As Yukiko turns a corner, she bumps straight into Caleb.

Caleb: "Ouch..."

Caleb saves himself and Echoes from being drenched as Yukiko notices who she bumped into.

Yukiko: "Caleb, why aren't you with the others?"

Caleb: "I-I was woken u-up by the m-message!"

The two begin to walk the rest of the way.

Yukiko: "Same, I was up till 2 in the morning catching up on some of my favorite shows."

The Login is soon seen, with the others shivering outside.

Caleb: "S-Same. I-It's how I try t-to deal with-"

Zack: "(shivering) F-Finally!"

No one has an umbrella except Caleb.

Risa: "M-Mom t-t-took the o-only u-umbrella even though s-she drives to w-work."

They all walk into the building next door, with loads of Augments lining the shelves.

Andrea: "(relieved) That's better."

Emily: "Now what were you saying about Augments Part 4."

William: "(smirking) Well you see-"

Caleb had already bought an HP up, Weak Point seeker, AP gain up, and Mg. Def up and inserted them into his ID Glove.

Kyle: "(distraught) What have you done?"

Caleb: "W-We can't waste time! Austin and Aegis want Code L.A. complete and we have no idea what it is!"

Everyone looks at Caleb in shock.

Asaka: "(shocked) Whoa..."

Anthony: "Well said."

Yukiko sneaks a kiss on Caleb's cheek.

Yukiko: "Now that was just waiting to happen."

Caleb: "(bright red) U-U-Uh..."

Edo: "Is today the day where we nearly freeze to death waiting for these two, only to be shocked the whole time?"

Caleb rushes towards the door.

Caleb: "We need to keep going!"

Serena: "We need to split up."

Caleb stops.

Isabel: "Yeah, we need to be as close to full power as we can, but Yukiko needs to progress too."

Kyle: "(confused) Caleb, Asaka, Cole, Robert, Serena, Andrea, William, and Emily can go for our side while the rest go for the other boss."

Now everyone is looking at Kyle.

Robert: "What is it? Good Idea Day?"

Michael: "Kyle actually had a good idea for once."

The Knights pull out their ID Cards.

Roy: "I'm game."

The Knights log in.

Risa: "I'm more shocked than any moment in anime I've ever seen."

The others hurry next door.
