Chapter 17: Shine

William and Micheal have just exited their history test.

William: "(exhausted) What's a soul?"

Micheal: "(exhausted) No idea."

They're now joining the others.

Andrea: "We're keeping our classic groups for this run."

William: "Huh?!"

Anthony: "It's only Rank 6, and we're heading for the Beta server."

Risa: "I'm cool with it."

They nod in agreement.

Micheal: "With the nine of us, Rank 6 will be a breeze."

They all hurry to a login on a cloudy day.

Meanwhile...

Aegis: "(blankly) All that remains is the 12% on both sides."

Aegis merges with a GIGANTIC eyeball floating at the bottom of a large pit.

One hour later...

Risa: "I remember this place..."

They're standing in a very mountainous area, but near a large chasm in the ground.

Anthony: "Yeah, but it looked like it belonged in Picasso's art gallery."

They're standing on the other side of a small town, with boulders plaguing the landscape behind them.

Robert: "I can see that."

They arrive at the chasm, seeing how there is a stone staircase leading to the bottom.

William: "Well, I hope that you have just as much skill as you have wit."

They slowly step down the stairs.

Meanwhile...

Walker: "(confused) AE.exe and AU.exe?"

Walker has found more files with those names in his recycle bin.

Walker: "What kind of files are these? What did they want to do with these?"

Meanwhile...

Micheal: "No where near as terrifying as last time."

The giant eye dives towards Caleb.

Andrea: "Caleb!"

Caleb dodges left and fires two arrows into the side.

Caleb: "Micheal! Isabel!"

The two get to the sides.

Isabel: "We're on it!"

The two dig their weapons into the sides, causing it to fire lasers in random directions.

Andrea: "Guys!"

Andrea tosses her daggers into the pupil, only for the lasers to knock them off course and onto the floor.

William: "Great!"

Isabel and Micheal are holding on for dear life.

Micheal: "(panicking) Remember us?!"

Anthony, Kyle, and Caleb fire at the boss, only chipping off a little health.

Kyle: "New plan guys?"

The two is flung into a wall, but Micheal lets go of his sword.

Risa: "I've got a plan!"

William: "(sarcastically) Is it dangerous?"

Andrea manage to grab her daggers.

Risa: "Yes."

Risa rushes headfirst into the fray.

Caleb: "I see it!"

Risa weaves through the lasers until she arrives at Micheal's sword.

Risa: "You're going to wrap things up William!"

Risa punches the sword deeper into the boss.

William: "Risa!"

A laser burns Risa right in the center of her chest, chopping her HP in half.

Micheal: "(coughing) Finish it!"

William fires a burst of wind at the sword, causing it to have it fly out the other end and lodge itself into the wall above Isabel.

Andrea: "And, scene."

Caleb jolts up to Lv30.

Micheal: "(grabbing sword) There you are my precious..."

They all... awkwardly stare at Micheal.

Risa: "I'm getting away from him."

Everyone except Micheal quickly logs off.

Micheal: "H-Hey!"

Micheal soon follows...
