Chapter 14: I Will Always Prevail!

Thursday, after school...

Risa: "(yawning) What were the relationships between sine, cosine, and tangent?"

Caleb: "Y-You forgot?"

Risa and Caleb have just joined the others.

Risa: "(sighing) I'd say I got a low C."

Isabel: "Did you two have a test or something?"

Caleb: "Y-Yeah, and it looks like Risa forgot a third of the test."

William: "(disappointed) Just what we need."

Robert gets off the group chat on his ID Glove.

Robert: "Rank 5 and we're making the team split at the same spot as last time."

Andrea: "We'll get on Risa's case later William, we've got to go."

Anthony: "Yeah, and Isabel doesn't get on mine and Kyle's cases."

Isabel: "I do, you two just sleep through my speeches."

Awkward moment of silence...

Kyle: "Oh..."

Micheal: "(awkwardly) I think I'm just going to leave..."

Micheal slowly backs away.

William: "Wait for me!"

The others hurry up to follow Micheal...

One hour later...

Micheal: "So this time our side gets ten."

The two halves have joined up in the Delta server.

Cole: "So who's with who?"

Edo picks up a rock off of the ground.

Edo: "Knights, each of you pick a hand. If three of the rock are chosen, they're partners and them are with Yukiko. Everyone else goes with Caleb."

Yukiko: "So if one of the two is completed first, everyone else is automatically with the other group."

Edo: "Bingo."

Roy: "I'll start."

Everyone picks the hands. Roy, Isabel, Robert, Cole, Zack, Micheal, Anthony, and Edo are with Caleb and Asaka while Emily, William, Serena, Andrea, Tori, and Kyle are with Risa and Yukiko.

Robert: "Anyone bring an air tank?"

Zack: "(confident) I don't need an air tank when you're as awesome as me."

The groups have just split up.

Cole: "Like that one time when you were going to the bathroom and we heard you crying from outside?"

Anthony: "(laughing) Say what?"

Zack: "(blushing) N-No!"

The others have already set off.

Micheal: "Then you'd better be ready."

They hop onto their boards.

Asaka: "Then that probably means that you have no idea what we're going."

Isabel: "No we do, it's just that it's new."

They begin to zoom off.

Roy: "Heh, that rhymed."

They go zooming off into the ocean.

Meanwhile...

Walker is frantically looking through his computer.

Walker: "There has to be something about Code L.A. somewhere here. They have to store the codes somewhere!"

Walker is checking every file, everyone section, even the recycle bin, but no luck.

Walker: "Where are they hiding it?!"

Meanwhile...

Zack: "I actually don't need to hold my breath..."

They have just arrived in Theta.

Cole: "You could've saved yourself the embarrassment."

Zack: "(blushing) You didn't have to bring that up!"

Asaka: "(laughing) Yes he had to!"

Caleb chuckles a little bit.

Micheal: "You've even got Caleb laughing."

Zack: "(embarrassed) Can we just hurry up and not talk about that incident?!"

Isabel: "Zack's right. We can't waste time."

The group traverses the ocean floor.

Roy: "It feels strange to be underwater, but no need of air."

Michael: "Yeah, I agree."

Caleb looks towards the surface.

Caleb: "(in head) I'm no puppet..."

They pass through coral reefs, by underwater volcanoes, and even get caught up in a school of fish, but they have finally arrived at an ocean tower.

Robert: "Here we are."

Caleb walks ahead.

Asaka: "Caleb?"

Caleb: "We can't waste anymore time."

Caleb walks inside.

Isabel: "Weird to see Caleb this confident and determined."

Zack: "Well we'd better stop keeping him waiting."

The others follow...

Meanwhile...

Austin: "(blankly) After this, we've reached 68%..."

Austin fuses with a phoenix like bird, but it's blue. It's also producing water instead of fire.

Austin: "(blankly) Timing..."

The heroes have arrived at the top.

Asaka: "Ready?"

The water phoenix flies towards the surface.

Edo: "Whoa!"

Anthony and Edo fire away.

Caleb: "(in head) Keep an eye on the pattern..."

Most of them can't do a thing.

Zack: "Popcorn?"

Micheal: "Sadly I left it in my room."

Roy: "Aw man..."

The few ranged fighters continue to fire, only to keep missing and getting talons in the face.

Asaka: "(in pain) Where is it..."

Caleb figured it out.

Caleb: "Freeze the ground when it dives Robert!"

The bird begins another dive.

Robert: "Freeze!"

The bird is locked in place, along with icicles stabbing it's wings.

Micheal: "Time for our specialty!"

Zack and Micheal Bio-Link, ending the fight in one shot.

Isabel: "So uh..."

Caleb is now Lv26.

Roy: "We didn't need to be here?"

Asaka: "Yeah, probably."

They log out...
