it was christmas eve and the boys' house was crowded. all the families were reunited even though it was only 4pm.
there was food, music and drinks.

and presents. lots of presents.

jack avery was good at giving gifts. he didn't mind spending his money on the people he wanted but this year it was not like the previous ones.

they had a tradition. every christmas they play secret santa.
and jack was zach's secret santa this year.

everything seemed perfect until they set a rule to make it different from last christmas.

you can only boy gifts that do not exceed five dollars.

jack was not used to that. he didn't know what to buy zach that was worth five dollars and that he liked. and that bothered him. there was little less than ten hours left and he still didn't know what to give to him.

everyone else seemed excited about the game and said they had already bought their gifts. but jack couldn't be more stressed.

what type of boyfriend doesn't know what to buy his boyfriend at christmas?

me, that's why i am an idiot, though jack.

"you still do not know what to buy?" daniel came to his side, drinking a glass of punch that his mother made.

daniel had a mistletoe leaf in his hands. he was waiting for the right moment in which he and jonah were together, alone, to put it on his head. but the older one for some reason was never alone.

jack looked at zach, who was making weird gestures next to corbyn. it seemed that they danced. but they were doing it fatally. and in front of them christina laughed as if that was the funniest situation she has ever lived.

they should stop drinking so much punch, daniel thought when he saw them too. then he left his glass of punch on the table.

"no," complained Jack, taking a sip from his own glass, "that asshole won't tell me."

"wellll," jonah sang, tickling daniel as he approached them.

daniel let out a high-pitched scream and pulled away fastly. he did not like being tickled. and jonah knew it but he kept doing it.

"i don't think calling your boyfriend asshole is okay." said the older boy, resting his head on daniel's shoulder.

at that moment daniel wanted jack to get out of there. this was the first opportunity on the day when jonah and he were almost alone.

"didn't you tell me you hadn't slept with him in a while?" daniel asked trying to finish the topic.

jack felt his face heat up and refused to look at jonah. "daniel! that was one thing between the two of us. and also we decided not to do it because when we started dating we didn't go with baby steps."

"don't worry, daniel told me about it weeks ago" jonah said causing jack to blush even more.

i was going to kill daniel.
