~ Naive ~

I wrote your name in the sand
hoping someday you'll take my hand
and walk with me along the sea,
though only wished it were that easy.

Before I knew it
you flew further from me
like a butterfly I couldn't catch
you flew away and shattered too easily.

Tattered and torn
I had worked so hard, I could've sworn
that when you turned your head
my heart was nearly left dead.

I hate how time flows even in this moment,
memories of silence fill the fragment
you stole out of my heart
sometimes loving you -- wish I didn't start

who cares what happens next?
you'll never read my only tex
I'm starting to drown in the sea
that I thought was a dessert.

Yeah, I hate you 'cuz you left
But there was never a day I forgot
That painful theft
That I clung onto love for support.

Honestly
I want to see you
but I will really try
to forget you

because hating you is harder
than forgetting you after
when I have to blow you away
like white smoke that makes my world grey.

you were my sun
I was your moon
I promise I'll try to forget you
or remember you soon,

this place is all Winter now
spring has left for a different place
the seasons pass by so quickly
I dread that time passes with grace.

Past the cold Winter
I'll have forgotten about you.
When Cherry Blossoms bloom again
that's when I'll find new value.

But for now
when I can't reach you anymore
I pray silently with hope
that I'll see you again.
