Author note:
Hello girls.
Here it is the new chapter. Once again it's not revised. I'm sorry about the grammar mistakes.
Oh, another thing, this chapter has a crossover with Adam route, so if you didn't play Adam game and don't want spoilers, this is a spoiler alert.
Have fun!

The next day I'm feeling light and happy. Having spent the night with Rory in my arms improved my mood, it was wonderful. Having her by my side is so good. I know she's safe and watching her smile makes me feel the luckiest man alive. This morning Jake took Rory to her apartment so she may change for work, and so we arrive in the office separately. Once I'm in the elevator, I hear some girl laugh and quick steps rushing to the elevator. Upon entering, Rilee stops dead between the two sliding doors. She looks lost in thoughts and frozen on the spot. So I ask her which floor she's going to. She stammers and clears her throat. - "42nd floor, please." - I press the button then give her a smile, before leaning back against the elevator wall. - "You work for Mark Leviels under Gabriel Simons supervision, if I remember correctly, right?"
Stunned she looks at me and nods. -"Very good, excellent memory." - I gaze at her and smile again. - "I care about all my employees."
"Regarding the number of employees, it can't be too easy."
"No, indeed. There's a lot of us. But I try to pay special attention to each and everyone's well-being, as much as possible and within reason. I hope that is the case for you."
"Yes, I feel perfectly happy here. I'm impressed that you should know who everyone is."
"Unfortunately, my talents don't go that far, but I do my best."
"That's what we all do, I guess." - I simply nod and I feel her ogling me discreetly. I feel uncomfortable and don't know quite why. Gladly the elevator comes to a halt on her floor and she tears her eyes away from me and walks towards the opening doors. - "Have a good day."
"Good day to you too, Mr. Carter." - She says and a slight smile stretches across my lips. I bow down slightly satisfied that she was just watching me because she recognizes me. A relief passes through me that she wasn't flirting.
As I step out of the elevator I meet Pame. - "Hello, Mr. Carter."
"Hi, Pame. It's everything ok?"
"Yes, Sir. Miss Turner just called me asking to inform you that she's a bit late today, sir." - I refrain from smirking. She's trying to provoke me. - "That's fine, I'll be in my office. Please, ask her to join me in my office as soon as she arrives."
"No problem, sir. Have a good day."
"You too, Pame."
In my office, I turn on my computer and scroll through my emails. There are a few, and one in particular from Mr. Peterson from Petersons Industries. He's been after me for a while now. We had some lunch and I'm pretty intrigued by his proposal. Colin made a background check and he's clean now, so I don't see why not to join him on this project. Oil is a thing that Carter Corp. don't have much experience. I've been always choosing to be away from oil companies because they're far from being sustainable and clean. But Peterson is adamant to make the difference, and I'm really interested to be at his side on this journey. It would be disruptive and make a change in this field. I'm just about to answer his e-mail, to schedule a meeting to settle the term of our agreement, when all of a sudden, all the lights go out, plunging the office into darkness.
What the fuck?
I get up and call out to Pame. - "Pame, what the hell is going on?" - She quickly opens my door and steps in with the light of her phone lightning the room. - "I don't know, sir."
