Mikaela ran through the forest, ignoring the feeling of the branches scratching at her skin. She didn't even care that she was wearing a heavily indecent outfit. She finally ran far enough to where she felt comfortable and safer. She stopped, moving and crouching down. She panted hard. She felt tears trailing down her face. He almost...He almost... She rose her hands, touching her face and sobbing slightly. She quickly covered her mouth as she heard a stick crack. She felt more sobs break through her chest, but tried to keep them as silent as possible. 

Mikaela crouched down behind a bush, hoping to hide from whoever was walking towards her. She tried to slow her breathing. More sticks cracked as footsteps walked towards her. Sobs and panicked breaths broke through her mouth. The person headed towards her. Be quieter you idiot! Her conscience screamed. She clamped her mouth shut and backed up against a tree, holding her hands over her mouth in fear. A sword came over her shoulder pressing against her cheek. 

"Who are you?"a voice asked. She stiffened. Ace? She thought. She looked up. His eyes went wide when he recognized her. "Mikaela?" She jumped up from her position and wrapped her arms around him without thinking. His eyes went wide and he looked down at her. He realized that most of her upper body was bare, and she was just barely covered over her chest. His face heated up. What is she wearing? He thought. She didn't budge from him, shaking. He slowly felt his arms wrap around her body, holding her to him. She swallowed, her body slowly leveling out again. "What are you doing out here? It's dark, and dangerous. And what are you wearing?" She looked up at him. He quickly pulled a troubled smile on his face. 

"Ace..."She murmured. His chest throbbed with her voice. Mikaela looked down. "I ran...I ran from Blood." Ace's eyebrows wrinkled. His smile pulled into a confused frown. He placed his hands on her upper arms gently. 

"What happened?" Mikaela looked away, ashamed. 

"Blood...pulled a trick on me. He tried to-"She broke her words off with a sigh. She squirmed. Ace felt his blood grow hot.

"Did he touch you?"

"Well, only to grab me, he didn't actually..."

"He touched you?"Ace growled. Mikaela shivered at his sudden angry tone. She looked back up at him. He wore the scariest look she'd seen since he'd killed that person to protect her. She stared up at him in shock. "I'll kill him." Mikaela's eyes went wide. She quickly shook her head. 

"N-No, don't do that, it's okay-"

"It's not okay!"Ace shouted. Mikaela flinched back. His hands dropped from her arms. Ace sighed looking off somewhere else. Blood almost took her. Ace was beyond pissed. He moved, slamming his fist into the side of a tree. "That bastard." Mikaela stood still. I have to stop him from doing something he'll regret, she thought. She reached out and touched his arm. He looked at her. She gave him a soft look. 

"Don't leave me alone..."Mikaela murmured. Ace gazed at her. His anger seemed to seep away as his eyes stared into her ocean blue ones. He closed his eyes and sighed, reopening them with a smile. He reached out and touched her cheek. Her eyes widened. 

"My apologies...I lost my temper and said some very un-knight-like words." His eyes traced over her. Why would Blood dress her up in that? She doesn't look good in it at all. She looked better in her normal clothes... he thought. He sighed and closed his eyes, reopening them with a smile. "You look ridiculous in that get up. Luckily, we're close to the Clock tower, otherwise you'd be stuck dressed like that." She blinked. He moved and took his coat off. He pulled it over her and bent down, placing his lips on her forehead. Her eyes went wide. He sighed and took her hand in his, her other one holding his coat closed. "Come on." He pulled her with him, leading her towards a tower she could see in the distance.
