Service to God

What is Service?
1)It is an act of serving.
2)It is the performance of a role/function.
3)It is rendering help in achieving a mission/goal.
4)It is an act of taking orders.
5)It is the provision of something beneficial/useful.

Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psalms 2:11 KJV

Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
Deuteronomy 6:13 KJV

When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the Lord .
Psalms 102:22 KJV

And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the Lord , to serve other gods;

How To Serve God
1.Serving Him with praise.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Psalms 100:2 KJV

2. Serve Him thriugh Constant fellowship.

3.Serve Him through constant study and obedience of the scripture.

And the people said unto Joshua, The Lord our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.
Joshua 24:24 KJV

4.By spreading the Gospel of Christ.

4.By rendering help to people in need of help.

5.By teaching God's word.

6. Serving in God's house (the church).

POINTS TO NOTE
-Serving God releases special blessings inyo your life.

And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
Exodus 23:25 KJV

-It is a commandment to us to serve God and God alone.

And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
Deuteronomy 11:13 KJV

-Serving God gives us a special, unusual Grace from God.

-Serving God occurs in different ways. Serve Him in the ways you know best.

We serve the Lord in many different ways, but all of us serve the same Lord .

-Serving God creates and increases prosperity for us

QUESTION

What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
Job 21:15 KJV

ANSWER

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

-There are consequences for not serving God.

But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
