Seeds and Vows

22 4 2

Just like in physical reality, seeds are planted in expectancy of a harvest.

Seeds are sowed because harvests are required.

A Vow on the other hand, is a pledge, a promise to be fulfilled.

Such promises are conditional.
Example of a vow is that of Hannah.

"And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head."
1 Samuel 1:11 KJV

God hearkened to her, and for fulfilling her vow, more was added to her.

Reasons for Vows/Benefits of Vows
1) It is made out of desperation for answers to specific prayers.

2)It provokes speedy delivery of results.

3) It breaks all obstacles withholding results.

Vows are not compulsory, but when vows are made, they are to be taken seriously to prevent the provocation of the anger of God.
