People have mistaken the meaning of Christianity. The dictionary puts it as a religion of people who believe in Jesus Christ as son of God.

Some may say Christianity is a religion of people who believe in Jesus Christ as the saviour or something like that. Yes, they are right. Definitely correct, but there's more to that.

It also about being kind, humble, gentle, honest, all the best behaviour and bla, bla, bla.
I'm not condemning this good behaviours because that's very correct. I, as a person, with personal beliefs thinks that all those attributes make a good person, it should not have anything to do with one's religion.

You should see someone and be like "Ohh, see that kind-hearted guy that helped the old lady. I also saw him the other day doing this and that. He's sure to be a good person. " not "he's sure to be a Christian. "

Now don't get me wrong here, as a Christian, you ought to emulate Christ and do good to others, but doing good doesn't make you a Christian, it makes you a good person. A kind-hearted person. A person with dignity. And all other attributes or compliments.

I may go to church every Sunday and I'll tell you the next day that I ain't a Christian.

Now I may have said that this doesn't make you a Christian, that doesn't make you a Christian, so what makes you a Christian? This is what makes you a Christian.

Giving your life. Yes, you heard me right. But you may wonder how, to who?
It is giving your life to the very Christ himself that makes you a Christian. How? By surrendering your very existence to Jesus.

Now another thing, many people have this wrong mindset that being a true Christian is very boring. That there are so much rules. From dressing code,to types of friends, number of friends. No parties. No this. No that. It is so not true.

Nonetheless, everyone's to dress decently. A quote says "show me your friend, and I'll tell you who you are". That quote is so true to some extent. The main thing is just to know your limits.

Hey, I'm a Christian, and I have a lot of crazy friends that only God knows how crazy they are, because I don't. When I'm with them, I know my limits.

When we're talking, like a group conversation, and they pop a topic that I shouldn't be talking about, I let them know, maybe casually or seriously.

But I still know the type of friends that I should keep close. I also know people I shouldn't think of befriending, if they remain the way they are.

In summary, Christianity isn't a religion with a bunch of rules.

True Christianity is just fully and knowingly giving your life to Jesus. And you keep acknowledging that fact and leave the rest to him. It's saying "Jesus, you are my all ".
