"hey guys" dan waves toward the camera, mabel watching behind her screen as he talks. "how are we all today then?" dan isn't suspecting mabel's name to appear in the chat. but it does. she can see that dan is reading her message and he smiles, chuckling lowly. it makes her happy, but she doesn't want to tear him apart. especially with the phandom aware of her presence. but why should she care about them?

her phone rumbles on the coffee table her feet rest on. dan's text appears on the lockscreen. mabel's lockscreen is her and dan.

dan: hello to you too. saw your message, youre making me blush

mabel: im still watching, people in the chat are asking about me too.

dan: i can see

"why are you looking at your phone? says lizzie. well im just replying to a text from an important person." he smiles with pink tinted cheeks. his dimple is looking extra sad today, but it only makes him look cuter. "how is mabel? asks phil. well phil ill have you know she's okay. next time ask me in person you rat." he rolls his eyes at phil's comment obviously trying to innocently get dan and mabel on the internet as a couple. he looks at the several messages about mabel. "mabel better not be dating dan, says riley. well riley, that concerns no fan's opinion because it is my choice to date who i wish." his face drops a little at the backlash of his comment, but chooses to ignore it.

mabel: don't let them get to you

however much she tries to ignore the heaps of comments, it doesn't work. they seep into her head. what if dan doesn't like her? what if he is just trying to get in- that had already happened. what if their relationship is just a fling to dan? many questions float in the thick, unnerving air but none could be answered.

mabel has been searching for apartments near dan and phil for the past few days and she had eventually found one, in the same complex as them. it's a small one, a couple floors down from them and she has decided to choose it - to make new memories in a place close to her beloved.

she chooses not to tell dan.
