some fluff at the middle ish of this chapter (':

a soft smile was exchanged between dan and mabel. mabel sat up in the satin sheets, patting the spot next to her. her eyes were glazed over and dan noticed. he timidly wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close for comfort. dan spoke warmly in hushed tones. his hot breath went against her ear and she melted. her mind was going nuts but an was always there to distact her. her parted lips were chapped and dry. dan's eyes glanced down towards mabel's lips, but returned to her hazel eyes not long. a quiet giggle slipped from her lips.

"what?"

"you, you're so silly"

dan ganed at her in confusion. his eyebrows knotted together as he stared.

"i-"

"shut up and kiss me"

dan held both sides of her face and brought their lips together. she ran her hands through his hair as he bit down on her bottom lip gently. smiling into the kiss, he pressed his body against mabels, pushing her down to the comfort of the matress. she lied under an as he kissed her with pure passion and love, it was something mabel had never felt between anyone before. there was a connection. dan's hands ran up her shirt and against her bare back. his fingertips dug into her skin but not hard enough that it hurt. pulling away from her lips, he kissed down her neck, suckling on spots evry now and again. the collar of her shirt stopped him from going further but that didn't stop him completely. a shiver ran up mable's spine as he lifted her shirt slightly, pressing kisses to her abdomen, his tongue glazing over the skin just above the elasic of her pants. "d-dan" she mumbled into his neck uncomfortably, "i-i can't".

dan's eyes met hers, and he smiled with kindness. "of course, i understand" mabel wrapped her arms around his neck and they lied there, staring at the ceiling. dan's hand sat on the inside of her thigh, rubbing circles. "i love you" he mumbled. "you dont have to say it back, just-"

"what?" mabel turned her head to his with an unreadable expression. it wasn't shock or hate.

"i said i-" her lips ran against his, a smile across her face.

"i'm joking. i just wanted to be sure" she stifled a giggle from falling out of her lips. however, she wasn't sure if she loved him back.

she didn't want to say it incase it turned out she didnt.
