mabel trips over her feet a few times before making it to dan's floor. she fumbles with the handle as her hands are so sweaty. she has been, for the past ten minutes, working up the courage to see dan. she feels terrible, horrible and awful for hitting dan. she regrets it so much. it was the emotions falling out of her unnaturally. mabel knows dan is going to be angry, he is going to break up with her and never talk to her again. he hates her guts.

definitely.

she decides this whilst stood at his bedroom door. it's 3:47am. before she left her apartment her nose started to bleeped but she completely disregards this fact, only smudging it under her nose. the blood runs down her lips and onto her chin. the smudges are all over her face though. the tears she is crying merge with the blood, so licking it off her lips is a taste of salt and iron.

she looks down at her hands for a brief moment and doesn't know how to get rid of the blood on the tips of her fingers. it makes her feel a little uneasy. of course, dan's door is white and she really doesn't want to get blood all over the wood. so instead she knocks gently.

the sound of footsteps gradually gets closer and a lump in her throat forms. tears well in her eyes and the blood continues to run down her face from her nose. mabel hasn't mustered up the courage to let dan know but she was near to suicide at one point. her mind is racing with thoughts.

dan's door opens and he stands there topless, an unreadable expression on his face.
