The large room was loud and filled with quiet conversations as we walked in, surrounded by bodygaurds and paparazzi. Niall was trying his best to answer some of the incoming questions flying at him, all while trying to actually get to our table safe. Once we arrived at the large round table, we all sat down and looked expectantly at the stage.

"You excited?" someone whispered in my left ear. I turned slightly and saw Harry grinning at me.

I nodded. "Defenitely," I answered, returning the smile with my own. The lights dimmed slightly and the announcer came up on stage.

"Hello and good evening! Welcome to the Brits! I hope everyone is excited as I am!" the announced exclaimed into the microphone. The crowd cheered and he grinned. "That's great. Now I'm sure you'd all like to know the winners!' More cheering. This suddenly reminded me of that One Direction concert on TV when my life changed. Minus the screaming of course.

An hour and three performances (and seven celebrity guests) later, they were about to announce the best British single. "Ohmigod you guys!' I mini squealed. Louis grinned happily and drank a sip of water, practically bouncing in his seat.

"Calm down, jeez!" Liam rolled his eyes and smiled.

I scoffed. "Yeah, like you aren't excited mister I'm pretending to be calm even though I'm screaming on the inside!" I took a big breath.

Harry snickered and fixed his tie. We all looked up at the stage as the announced grabbed the fancy envelope containing that one answer... "And the winner! If this year's best British single! Is... One Direction with What Makes You Beautiful!" We all jumped up, screaming and hugging each other. Niall kissed me on the cheek and Zayn shot a fist into the air, whooping.

"Go on guys!" Danielle urged, giving Liam a slight push toward the stage. All five boys grinned and made their way to the stage, jabbing each other along the way.

"Any words?" the announcer handed the microphone over to Harry. Harry snatched the microphone and looked into the crowd, and then at Bethany who was sitting across from me, with Dani to her left.

Harry cleared his throat purposefully, causing a round of slight chuckles from the crowd. "Well, first of all, we'd like to thank our fans, because without you, well, we wouldn't be here, on this stage, accepting this," he motioned to the small statue in Zayn's hands. "Second, we'd like to thank Simon, for all he's done for us, right from when he was judging us on the X Factor for the first time. And last, I, personally, would like to thank my wonderful girlfriend, Bethany Park, for just being, well, my girlfriend! I love you!" I looked at Bethany, who was blushing crazily. Harry passed the microphone to Zayn.

"Vas Happinen?" he joked. The crowd laughed. "Well, yeah, thanks to all our fans out there, who supported us all the way! Yeah, Simon, we can't thank you enough!" Finally, he passed it to Niall, who looked at me.

"Same goes. Fans, you are our everything. Mostly. Part of my heart belongs to this one girl who's sitting out there, in the crowd, blushing like a tomato," Danielle elbowed me in the ribs and El sent me a knowing glance. "Delilah Fountaine, I love you," he grinned and the announcer took back the mike.

"Congrats to One Direction!" he exclaimed into the microphone. The boys grinned and waved, their winning single playing in the background while they headed back to us.

Niall sat down into his seat and fixed his jacket nervously. "So how was my speech?"

I tilted my head and made a face. "Eh, it was okay, but honestly..." I looked at the frowning Niall. "I loved it!" I threw my arms around his neck and pulled him into an awkward sideways hug.
