I reached for another scoop of popcorn, my eyes glued to the TV screen. Thousands of screaming fans  awaited the wonderous One Direction to come up on stage and announce the winner of the first ever One Direction tour competition. I had to enter for Daisy. It was the only way she'd forget her cancer for just the littlest amount of time when she saw me, Delilah Fontaine, up on that stage with her favorite singers, singing my heart out. But there was a problem. I hadn't sung in public for about three years, ever since my younger sister had gotten cancer.

The screams became louder and louder as all the fans realized there were five heads rising up from the bottom of the stage. They starting chanting loudly. "One D! One D!" they shouted and screamed. I winced at their crazy fangirling. Do people waste their vocal chords on something as useless as this?

"Thanks for coming out today!" a curly haired guy said into his microphone. I think it was Harry judging from the posters hanging on my sister's old bedroom wall. She was obsessed with that band.

The blondie, my favorite if I had to choose, grinned and waved. "Now, I think you all would like to know who won the contest!" he guessed. He was replied with the loudest screams and hooting of all. I rolled my eyes. These girls could be so desperate. Not all of them would win, so why bother? There were millions of other girls in the world.

"Well," one of the brunettes started, holding up a fancy looking creamy colored envelope. "We have the answer right here in this beautiful envelope!" he announced, waving it around like he was teasing the crowd.

The dark haired one rolled his eyes and brought his mic closer to his mouth. "Oh come on Liam, just open it already!" he turned to the crowd. "Don't you want him to open it?" the boy asked. The crowd screamed again.

"Open it! Open it!" the crowd yelled impatiently.

"Oh just open it! Let me demonstrate!" the other brunette reached forward and snatched the envelope from Liam's hand. "And the winner is..." he flipped open the flap and pulled out a white card. "Miss Delilah Fontaine!" he announced. I choked on a piece of buttery popcorn. I heard some girls cry out and demand that it was some joke.

Harry searched the crowd for any happy face who was cheering. "Is Delilah out there?" he called into the mic. The giant room turned quieter. "Well, she obviously isn't, so..." he looked into one of the cameras and I felt like his eyes were on me. "If you are Delilah Fontaine, we'll have a phone call to you and an email in like, 5 seconds!" he announced. He looked away and at both sides at the other boys of the band.

"Now who wants to hear what you came here for?" The dark haired guy yelled into his mic. The crowd immediately starting screeching again. I scrambled for my phone which was on the coffee table. At that moment, the five boys starting singing one of their annoying top hits, What Makes You Beautiful and my phone blared out Carly Rae Jepson's Call Me Maybe. Not a good sound together. I clicked accept call and held the white iPhone up to my ear.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Is this Delilah Fontaine?" a high voice asked from the other side of the line. I nodded, even though the woman wouldn't see it.

"Yep..." I drifted off, not knowing what to say.

The woman coughed a little. "Well, congrats, I'm Lucy Hannover, proud tour manager for the five One Direction boys, and I'm proud to say that you, Miss Fontaine, will be coming on tour with the boys!" she announced.

I rolled my eyes. Yeah, thanks for stating the obvious Ms. Hannover. "Well, I'm glad I won the contest!" I replied politely.

"You'll be going to a few destinations and it will take a lot of traveling. If there are any problems, just call me. Now I have to go. Please be ready, the flight is in two days, and the boys will contact you soon. Goodbye."
