((this is the day before christmas eve btw))
Dan's pov.
"Boys! Hello. Come in, Come in. Oh let me help you with those bags Phil" Kath greets us by the door, taking a bag off of Phil she walks us to his old room.
"Here you are boys, It is late so I'll let you settle down, feel free to come watch the TV with us downstairs" she gives us both a hug and walks out of the room.
I look over at thr bed which has christmassy sheets on it, and has two fluffy onsies folded neatly at the bottom, one labeled 'dan' and the other 'phil'.
"I love your mum oh my god," I smile at Phil and he laughs,
"She loves you too, do you wanna put them on?"
"yeah!" I put mine on while phil walks around putting our clothes away, once i'm ready I put the hood up and look in the mirror,
"Oh my god Phil"
"hmm?" he asks from the bathroom,
"mines has bear ears" I say walking to meet him half way and his expression on his face melts,
"you look so cute I want to cry"
"Go put yours on" I urge him and kiss him before hiding the presents we bought for everyone else in the cupboard.
"you wanna go downstairs?" Phil asks from the doorway, now also wearing his grey fluffy onsie and his glasses,
"Oh my god you look adorable yeah lets go"

We spend the rest of the night cuddled up on the sofa watching the grinch and catching up with Kath and Nigel.
I think about all of the nerves I felt coming here for christmas and how quickly they dissappeared, both Kath and Nigel treat me as one of their own and its so comforting to slip into a family that isn't your own. The whole lester family; Phil, Kath, Nigel, Roz, Martyn, Cornelia.. every single one of them that I have met or spoke to has made me feel so comfortable and safe and at home than anyone other than my real family ever have.
As I look up into the bright baby blue eyes that were seemingly already gazing at me fondly I let out a content sigh, yeah... I've found my forever home.
