Phil's pov
The next morning, and whole day basically, Dan is so needy. He holds my hand most of the day, tapping my hand nervously with his thumb. Obviously still shaken from the nightmare. I explain to everyone why Dan is being so spacey and distant while Dan is at the toilet and Cornelia frowns,
"That's such a shame. People can be so evil"
As soon as Dan returns he is back to almost sitting on my lap and holding onto my hand. I kiss him on the head and he turns to me with a grateful smile. I spend most of the day talking for the two of us if anyone asks us anything and packing for when we leave to go to Dan's family home while Dan lays on the bed on his Phone.
"oop my mum's video calling" Dan informs me from the bed and sits up, ruffling his hair obsessivley.
"hey mum!"
"hello darling how are you?"
"I'm alright, I've had a great time. How was the rest of your christmas?"

"Is phil there?" I hear Adrian ask from the other side of the screen, Dan turns the camera to me,
"Hello!" I yell and wave, he waves back with a smile,
"Phil can you talk to Adi for a minute to I go pee?" Dan hands me the phone ans I nod,
"Hello Phil how was your christmas?" Adi asks,
"It was amazing! My mum has given us some mince pies and some cakes to bring for you" At this Adi's face lights up,
"When are you coming here again?"
"We come tomorrow night, so you'll probably see us the day after if you're in bed"
"Oh my god I need to show you the telescope I got for christmas hold on" Adi exclaims handing Dan's mum the phone,
"Hello Karen, how are you?"
"I'm great, how are you? And how is Dan really? I can tell he's hiding something"
"Uh I'm great, Dan is okay now he just had a bad dream last night about uh.. about Leo,"
"Oh goodness! And he's okay already?"
"Well sort of not really, he's still a bit spaced out and on edge but other than that he's doing okay... It took me ages to calm him down though"
"Hey don't put yourself down like that, when this happens usually dan doesn't fully calm down from the panic attack sometimes for the whole day until he passes out from tiredness. You've done an amazing job,"
Just at that Dan walks back in, taking his seat back, not being able to be any closer to me if he tried, dark circles under his eyes,
"Yeah so like I was saying, I got Dan a necklace and he got me a promise ring...."
