dan's pov
"I can do this, I can do this, I can do this" I mutter to myself as I walk down the stairs and try to stop my heart from beating so quick,
"Mum, Dad?" I ask, standing in the doorway of the kitchen,
"Can I uh.. Talk to you both about something?" Mum and Dad exchange a quick glance and then gesture for me to sit at the table,
"Of course sweetheart is everything alright?"
I take a deep breath,
"Yes! Everythings great I just need to discuss something with you guys. It's just, I was having a look on the internet at Law courses, and I saw that Manchester uni have a really good course right? One of the best I've found, and well I've sent away an application and I got an email back saying I'm on the shortlist so I'll most definitley be getting in. But then I realised I would have to find an apartment to stay in, you know, for when I wasnt in my dorm. And Phil offered for me to live with him. And I was wondering if you guys were okay with that?"
My mum tears up a bit and so does my Dad,
"Son, Listen. These past ten months, you have been the happiest you have ever been in your whole life. Ever since that complete arsehole you were with It's been Phil who has pulled you out of your rutt. and I know down in manchester he will always be there to do just that on the bad days. Theres nobody I'd trust more than Phil. So as far as my opinion goes. You have my full agreement" My dad says and looks over at my mum,
She nods,
"I agree, That boy has saved your life and youre both just so cute together and he looks at you dan, He looks at you as though you hung the moon. I know phil will be the best person for you to be with in Manchester, and you'll have Carrie just along the road. So the same goes with me. You have my blessing"
I smile like a complete idiot and jump up,
"Oh my god Oh my god! Thankyou!"
I hug them both and my mum cups my face and squishes my cheek,
"My little baby is all grown uP!" She exclaims and laugh;
"Don't worry mum you still have Adi,"
"Yeah but how long do I have before he finds a nice girl ir boy to run off with"
I laugh,
"Okay mum he's literally only like eight, I'm sure youll be fine"
