"You are lucky that The Dark Stag didn't notice the blue eyes! Unless...he just didn't say anything..." The Master said, walking through the Great Forest of Suibom. "If he had saw that I had your blue eyes whilst we were talking, he could've ripped me from this body, and killed you!" He said.
I don't regret doing it! Ferris said in the Master's head. I had to take control sometime!
"Oh, I swear! If he noticed, I'll end you!" The Master said. "No more taking charge!"
If you end me, you can't have my body! Remember!?
The Master growled in frustration. "Stupid teenager! You have no idea what could've happened to me if you kept doing that!"
Whatever!
The Master rubbed his head. Having a teenager who was very...very slowly learning about his own power in his head, was tearing him apart. Sometimes, he couldn't stand the back-talk he would get from Ferris. The Master took off his hat. The hat was filled with black ink, it would never spill on his head when he wore the hat. He brought out his cane and dipped the orb in the ink. When he pulled it out, the ink in the hat glowed slightly, revealing a scene. Ferris was laying down in a dark void, strings attached to his neck, arms, waist, legs, feet, hands, and tail. Black ink surrounded him. The boy's eyes weren't open, and despite how much pain he was in, he was still breathing.
"You'll shut up if you know what's good for you."
Ferris opened his mouth to speak, but then, the strings tightened around him, cutting through some of his fur and skin, drawing blood. Ferris shut his mouth, not daring to speak.
The Master put his hat back on his head. His ears twitched as he listened to his surroundings. He heard distant footsteps. He went shadow mode and made his way towards the footsteps. He stopped at the dirt road that went through the Forest of Suibom. He peered through the shadows of the bush. An anthropomorphic bunny was hauling a large load of food in a bag on his back. His blue and yellow fur was damp with sweat. He wasn't wearing a shirt, but he wore black jeans. He looked about twenty. He finally stopped walking and collapsed onto the road.
The Master left the bush, acting casual. This was another chance for him to corrupt. "Hello there! In need of some assistance?" He asked cheerily. The bunny looked up at him.
"Oh, uh, I'm okay, sir. I really just need directions. I've been out here for a long time, all because I needed to get food!" The bunny man dusted his chest off, preparing to get back on his feet.
"How long is a long time?" The Master asked.
"Oh...about...seven years? Yeah! About that long." He said.
"Seven years is a long time. What's your name?" He asked.
"Dalton. And yours?" Dalton said.
Dalton? But that's Izayay and Rose-ann's b-
"Dalton! What a great name! Mine's One! Nice to meet you." The Master said, doing his best to impersonate a normal person.
"One? Like...the number?" Dalton asked.
"Yes! So, what's with the bag?" The Master asked, pointing to the large bag.
"Oh, I went to the woods to collect some food in celebration for my little sister's first birthday, but, I ended up getting lost...and..." Dalton trailed off. This was the first 'person' who he had run into since getting lost. He was surprised he was even alive. "and...I got lost." He finished.
"Your sister, what's she like?" The Master asked.
"Oh, she's probably a lot different now, I mean, it's been seven years. I hope she didn't forget about me, but she probably has. My brother too." He said.
"You have a brother too?" The Master asked, finding Dalton looking a bit familiar.
"Yeah, he's incredibly smart. Smarter than I ever could be." Dalton said, proud of his brother.
Izayay! That has to be who he's talking about!
It was taking almost all the Master's power to stop Ferris from taking control over his voice. "So, what's your plan?" He asked.
Dalton sighed. "I've been lost in this forest for so long, I doubt any of my siblings would even recognize me if they saw me." He said, picking up the bag.
"Well then, what's the point of hauling it around?" The Master asked.
Dalton slung the bag over his back, continuing down the trail. "I'm getting back home, no matter what, and I'm bringing my sister her birthday present that was due a long time ago." He said, beginning to walk away from the Master.
Determination. The Master liked that. "Dalton, what would you do if I offered to help you get back to your family?" The Master asked, catching up to him.
Dalton stopped. "You could?" He asked.
"Yeah! I mean, you've been walking on this road for seven years, right? And where has it gotten you?" He said.
Dalton considered the offer for a moment. "What's the catch? There's always a catch." He said, stopping.
"I'll help you find your siblings, and you'll work for me." The Master said, leaning on his cane.
No! Please!
"So, you want me to work for you? At what? The circus?" Dalton asked, talking about the Master's clothes. He did look kinda like a ring master for a circus.
"Yeah, sure. We're all freaks, me and my crew. I already sent one of my assistants to go to town and set up. Care to join me on my journey there?" The Master asked, holding out his hand for Dalton to shake.
Dalton stared at the hand for a while. He was willing to do anything to get back to his brother and sister. Besides, finding his siblings and getting a new job? A job was something he had lacked after his dad had kicked him and his siblings out of the house. "Okay. You've got a deal, One." He said, sealing the deal with a handshake.
Dalton's fur went dark blue, his eyes turning black, and his muscles bulged. He dropped the bag behind him. It landed with a thud. The Master let go, and stood back, looking at his new champion. "Now, Dalton. I'm going to take you back to town, and you will pay your siblings a visit. You will bring them and their friends to me. Keep watch for a yellow two-tailed fox. If you see one, bring her to me immediately." He said. Dalton nodded, walking behind the Master as they walked through the Great Forest of Suibom.
