Emma stood on the balcony, staring at the tropical jungle surrounding the castle. Apparently, this castle was protected by magic, hiding from enemies from The Dark. Her eyes landed on the tallest tree in the jungle. She stared at it a moment, the light from the moon lighting up the place. She decided to look at something else. That tree brought back too many memories. She blinked tears away, leaving the balcony. She looked in the room she and Rose-ann were sharing. The small bunny was fast asleep, wrapped in a blanket. Emma tiptoed to Cairry and Dani's room. They were both asleep too. Emma rubbed her eyes and collapsed onto the sofa in the lounge.

She couldn't sleep, but she knew she should. After her training lessons were confirmed by Hachiro and Hue, Emma and her friends were told to relax, because tomorrow was going to be one hell of a ride. The Masters of Powers were coming from around the Fandomverse to test the friends' skills. Emma closed her eyes, trying to fall asleep, but failing. She gave a sigh and went back to the balcony. She sat on the railing, letting her legs dangle over the edge. She looked down at the ground below. She was incredibly high, even though she was only on the second floor. She gave a yawn and looked up and down.

She heard a door open. When she turned around, she saw the dorm's door was open, swaying slightly. Emma's eyes darted around the room. She quickly got off the railing, leaving the balcony. She checked on Cairry and Dani, who were both still asleep. Emma went over to where Rose-ann was sleeping, but the door was already open. Weird. She could've sworn it had been shut.

Emma tiptoed to the door and slowly pushed it wide open. As she peered in, she saw there was no one but Rose-ann, who was still wrapped in her blanket. Emma left the door open. Maybe it had just been the wind that had opened the door. Yeah! That would definitely be a good explanation, right? "Emma?" A little voice said.

Emma nearly jumped out of her fur as she let out a small yelp. She turned around, seeing Rose-ann, standing in the doorway of the bedroom. "I thought you were asleep." Emma whispered, not wanting to wake Dani and Cairry.

"I heard footsteps and woke up. What are you doing up? I thought you had training with Hachiro tomorrow." Rose-ann said.

"Couldn't sleep." Emma answered.

"Huh. What's that?" Rose-ann asked, sleepily pointing to a shiny object on the floor. Emma went to it and crouched down beside it. She picked up the item. She stared at her reflection in the knife. Emma dropped it and quickly grabbed Rose-ann by the hand. "What are you doing?" Rose-ann asked as Emma pulled her to Cairry and Dani's room.

"Wake up Dani and Cairry! It's not just the five of us in here, I know it!" Emma said, pushing open the bedroom door. Rose-ann rushed inside and started shaking the other girls awake. Emma stood outside the door, watching and waiting. She looked back at the knife, only to see the carpet. The knife was gone! But how? Emma had only turned her back for literally just a few seconds! "Rose-ann! Hurry up!"

Emma hid her hand behind her back, letting it spark with smallest flame. She saw movement in her peripheral vision and she lunged at the thing. As Emma slashed at the dark figure, it disappeared. She frowned and looked back. There was a small person dressed in a black robe. Their hood was hiding their face, so Emma couldn't see who they were. They pulled their hands out in front of them, their hands glowing a faint red color. Emma quickly dodged a red beam, in full lash out mode, and attacked. The robed person dodged her attack, swift on their feet.

"Emma!?" Emma heard Dani yell. Another figure appeared in the darkness. This one wearing a dark purple robe. It blocked the doorway, keeping Cairry, Dani and Rose-ann in the room. "Out of my way!" Dani challenged, stepping up front. The robed figure bowed to her and drew a sword from their belt. "That's not fair!" Dani exclaimed, letting her creativity powers shine. The robed person swished their sword at Dani, who narrowly dodged it. Dani led them into the room then pounded the floor. Yellow and purple paint left her hands and swirled around the robed figure, hardening at their touch. "Cairry! Rose-ann! Leave!"
