Dusk look up at the island. "Yup. This is definitely the island." He said to himself. The rest of the group got up, not doing anything. "What are you guys waiting for?" He asked his group.

"I dunno, you just kinda seemed like the leader of our little crew, so, we're waiting for your instructions." Dani said, hands on her hips.

"Um, okay. Who was your leader before I showed up?" He asked.

"We...didn't really have one." Emma admitted.

"Hmm. Well, I guess I'll be your leader." Dusk said, not really having a problem with that.

"Um, who voted him leader?" Alex said, still kinda mad at Dusk for not telling them everything.

"I think we all did when he saved our lives from those weird creatures back there." Rose-ann said, talking about the un-anthros.

"He just told us to run!" Alex argued.

"Yes, he told us to run, and we had to. What would you have done if Dusk weren't here? Dusk, do you know where we are?" Izayay asked him.

"We're on the Island of Light." Dusk responded.

"See. At least he knows where he's going." Izayay said.

As the group continued to argue about the leader role, Peter looked at the island. To him, it just looked like a normal island. But boy was he wrong. His ears began to pick up footsteps, coming fast. The footsteps started as a walk, then a jog, then a full sprint, and their group seemed to be their destination. He tried grabbing Dusk's attention, but he was too deep in an argument with Alex to pay any attention. Peter decided to go to Emma next, seeing as she didn't seem to be busy with anything, other then keeping an eye on the kids, who were just messing around with the seaweed. He nudged her shoulder. "Yeah, Peter?" She answered. "What's up?"

Peter pointed to the jungle in front of them, then to his ears, silently telling her to listen. So, Emma did. She heard the footsteps coming, they were almost right on top of them.

"Guys. Guys! GUYS!" Emma said, finally getting Dusk and Alex to stop their argument. "One. This is a silly and stupid argument to have at this time! Two. Peter and I hear footsteps, coming this way." She pointed in the direction of the footsteps. Everyone else was silent as they listened. Everyone else heard the footsteps.

"Okay, everyone, form a circle, Rose-ann, George, and Joey should be in it." Dusk said. Everyone, even Alex, followed his orders. Izayay, Peter, Dusk, Alex, Emma, Dani, and Cairry made a circle around the younger ones, facing the jungle, ready for anything. Well...almost anything. The kids peeked through the bodies of their protectors, eager to see what they were hiding from. There was a moment where everything went silent, even the ocean went still for them. Everyone's eyes darted around the jungle. What would happen now?

They saw a rustle of the bush. Everyone's eyes landed on the bush. It stopped as soon as they all looked at it. Izayay's breathing got faster as the thing emerged. It was a huge creature with the head, and wings of an eagle, and the body of the lion. Its front legs were talons while the back were paws. It was also an un-anthro. "Oh my god!" Joey cried, leaving the safety of the circle. He ran towards the creature.

"Joey!" Dani called. But she didn't stop him, in fact, I don't think anyone could at that point. He stopped in front of the thing.

"It's a griffin!" He cried in excitement. He gazed up at the creature.

"I'm sorry, but, a what?" Dusk asked.

"It's a griffin. Said to have lived on the Other Side, but they never came to our side of Suibom. That's why you're all probably so surprised to see one. They're only in certain history books, like the one about the Fandomverse." Izayay explained.
