Family Reunion

Alex looked up at his mother. She was much older since last he saw her. One of the guards holding him down immediately let go once he saw Elizabeth. "Alma, you should be ashamed of yourself!" Elizabeth said, turning to face the guard. The guard lifted his helmet, revealing a cheetah with short curly hair and purple eyes. His curly beard almost made him unrecognizable to his photo.

"Ell, I'm sorry. I didn't kn-" Alma said, his gruff voice cut off by his wife.

"That is no excuse, Alma! Look at Alex!" She said, heaving her son to his feet. "How could you not know it was him!?" Alma looked Alex up and down before veering his eyes away from his family. He didn't even speak after that. "Alex, get your friends, and tell them they've come home." She said.

Crius moved aside, revealing Dusk, Emma, Peter, Izayay, Dani, and Cairry. Joey and Rose-ann climbed off the griffin's back, landing softly on the red carpets. Alex stood there, awkwardly waving his friends over. The rest of the group, plus Crius, joined Alex and his parents. The king stood there, unsure of what to do. "What makes you think we can trust them?" The king asked.

"I don't think we can trust them, I know we can trust them. These are the destined heroes of the Fandomverse. They're here to save us all!" Elizabeth said, not looking back at the king. "Anyway, these are your friends from the city?" She scanned Alex's group of friends.

"Yeah. This is-" Alex was about to introduce his friends, but his mother already seemed to know who they were.

"I know who they are! Their families talk non-stop about how their kids are destined to save us! It gets kind of annoying sometimes, but they think I brag the most." Elizabeth said.

"Wait. Our families!?" Dani exclaimed, looking out into the crowd.

"Most of yours, yes!" Elizabeth cried. "Nelly! Fanny! Paul! Jake! Celeste! Come see your family!" A female orange wolf, female magenta cat followed by five magenta kittens, a male blue bunny with yellow highlights, a male yellow and pink butterfly, and a slim female panther all emerged from the crowd.

The first to greet their family was the yellow and pink butterfly. He was tall and lanky, but he was still able to scoop Cairry up in his arms. "Cairry! I'm so sorry I left you with your mother! I didn't want to, but I had too! It was my biggest regret!" He cried, squeezing Cairry. She awkwardly hugged back. She hardly knew this man.

"You're my dad?" She asked, letting go. "I hardly remember you but...you're there. In my memories. You're Jake. That's what mom calls you." She said, tearing up. The two had their little moment while the magenta cat, followed by the little kittens, looked Dani up and down. Dani's yellow eyes seemed to light up at the sight of her mother.

"Mom?" She asked, and was immediately pulled into an embrace, the little kittens joined the hug.

"Is this Dani, mom?" One of the kittens asked.

"Yes, Amadeus! This is your big sister!" Her mother said, picking up her children. "This is Dani!" Dani's siblings looked her up and down, probably trying to believe this was the sister they never met.

The blue bunny approached Izayay and Rose-ann. The brother and sister just stared at him, disappointment painted their faces. This was the man that kicked them out before Rose-ann had even learned to crawl. This was the man that Izayay had despised almost all his life. "I can explain." He started.

"No. We don't want an explanation, Paul." Izayay said coldly. Paul was scared and confused. He wanted to explain, but Izayay had refused to give him the chance. He hadn't even called him by father. He had called him by his name. Paul had seen this coming, he just wasn't prepared for it.
